  Very disappointed with my experience at Virgin Active Solihull. The gym locks members into a 12-month membership, yet fails to provide something as basic as adequate parking. The car park is often full, and when spaces are available, many drivers park inconsiderately, making it difficult and stressful to use. On multiple occasions I have had to park elsewhere and walk to the gym. What is particularly frustrating is the complete lack of accountability when trying to raise concerns. The club tells you to contact customer services, while customer services tell you to speak to the club. You end up going around in circles with nobody taking ownership of the issue. I also raised concerns regarding women’s safety. Having to park away from the gym and walk through quieter areas late at night can feel unsafe, particularly for female members. When I asked what policies or measures Virgin Active has in place to address these concerns, nobody was able to provide a clear answer or direct me to any relevant policy. For a premium-priced gym, I expected far better customer service and a more proactive approach to member welfare. Instead, concerns are passed from one department to another without resolution. I would not recommend joining unless you are comfortable with the parking situation and the lack of support when issues are raised.

  Joined last year and was told it was a 12 mth contract with th first month free…..didn’t get a contract thru email or anything and now being asked for another months payment because they have now sent contract a year later and saying it is 12 payments not 11 like we was verbally told in the club……so now they want it before months end or £50 admin charge and passed onto debt collectors… rang and absolutely useless to talk to and won’t budge….do not use this club or business unless you have money to throw away

  Started training with Dan 6 weeks ago and he is absolutely amazing! He was wonderful at working out what best works for me and listening to my goals and creating a great routine. Very adaptive. I have seen a massive progress in my strength and physique since training with him. He is very attentive and is very supportive. Pushes you hard but not where it feels overwhelming. Great attitude towards everyone and always has a smile on his face! 5 stars all around!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  I was a member 16 months ago and cancelled due to the hygiene issues not being delt with after numerous complaints to the reception staff team, I've come to read reviews while attending the hachford brook gym hoping to return to Virgin when an adequate cleaning program is put into action, Reading recent reviews and seeing pictures I can tell everyone it's worse than ever and I'd not return if they paid me! Health concerns are a main factor but Virgin have priced the membership so high that people expect staff to be on the floor putting equipment away and cleaning machines but they don't bother and then the spa 😅 It's relaxing if you close your eyes and imagine it's clean but if you look you'll be uncomfortable and concerned about your health in the health spa! You'd be better off going for a swing in Monkspath park pond
