  It used to be one of the top gyms in manny but it’s absolutely shocking now. Staffs won’t let you use the shower 30 mins before they close (their excuse is that they cleaned up however I never seen a dirty showers like that gym absolutely disgusting) and they will kick you out 15 mins before they close. So technically they close at 9:45 so for the ones who finish work late is absolutely ridiculous. JOIN AND YOU’ll REGRET LATER! If you’re in this area there’s many other gyms that they offer better service and clean environment!

  actually really wanted to join this gym until I learned how not only the management are not taking women’s safety seriously, but are also actually endangering them by revealing their private info to the people they raise a complaint against! very disappointed in how the manager handled the whole case

  Staff lost my headphones Just few days ago, I have left my apple headphones in the gym which I tracked with my phone. I went back to reception and ask if they found any AirPods. They told me the headphones had been found and placed in the safe. While I was waiting at the reception for somebody to bring them down, staff member came to tell me that the headphones are not anymore in the safe and to come back later as they need some time to check. I came back in the gym and had the same response. The gym is big and they need time to search for it ( Daniel MGM always promising we will have a positive result). Days turned in weeks and no news and no headphones. After 3 weeks from the moment they found the item it was escalated finally to the general manager, who asked about proof of the headphones were in the building. I provided last location and a photo with me wearing it. After the proof has been send they came back to me with generic response that the club isn't liable for lost property. This would be fine if they haven’t been saying that they found the headphones and compensation would be offered. It is very suspicious that they were found by the team, taken into the club's safekeeping, and lost after that, which feels like they have security issues in their team. This is not the first time having problems in this gym, previously it took them 3 months to add discount code on my membership and after back and forth it was applied but they never returned the difference. Just sharing my honest experience with the club, cheers.

  Me and my partner got sexually harassed by a man. He was homophobic and would not take no as an answer from us multiple times. Reported to the gym manager on duty which was initially taken quite well. But it took over a month of constant chasing to get any resolution (which is not disclosed to us). As a queer couple / woman, we just don’t feel the safest walking in the gym now. While I understand the gym is not responsible for the man’s behaviour, Virgin Active’s handling of the incident enables harassment of women.

  Women and queer people avoid this gym!! My partner and I experienced sexual harassment by a straight man at this club and while the staff initially took it seriously the man in question wasn’t banned from the club. This was after our identity was revealed to the man during the investigation process. Furthermore virgin active customer services have been horrendous. Not replying to my emails raising the concerns with them and no support offered for how unsafe myself and my girlfriend felt after the man harassed us! Virgin active can’t claim to be allies the way they have handled this issue.
