  First time at Vision Express Ludlow, and definitely not my last. Booked online in minutes, helpful reminder text the day before, and an appointment time that fitted neatly around a busy work life and my husband. We travelled to Ludlow after trying other opticians locally and feeling… a bit underwhelmed. This was a whole different experience. As a woman with (approximately) 50 pairs of glasses in every shape, colour and mood, I was gutted to learn my prescription has changed a lot. Apparently age has opinions. Lisa and Phoebe handled this with kindness, humour and serious expertise. I explained that I craft, write, stare at screens for hours, then drive usually requiring multiple pairs of glasses. They took real time to explain lens options, distances, coatings for screen work, and how I could finally have one pair that actually does it all. No rushing, no jargon, just clarity (literally). Then came the fun bit: frames. From affordable to fabulous, every designer you could want — and while the prices vary, the quality doesn’t. What really impressed me was the questions: hobbies, lifestyle, clothing style, colours I wear. As someone who coordinates glasses with outfits (this matters), I felt genuinely listened to. Honest feedback too none of the “oh yes, those are perfect” for every single pair. I valued that more than they’ll know. The manager also checked in to make sure I was happy, and the whole experience felt relaxed, personal, and welcoming like a brilliant independent optician, just with a big brand behind it. A week later my glasses arrived including my sunglasses and the service at collection was just as thoughtful fit checked, vision checked, time taken. Start to finish, I felt personally looked after. And a special mention for how they treated my husband Mark. Eye tests and fittings can be more challenging for him, and instead of being made to feel like a “problem” (as has sadly happened elsewhere), he was treated with patience, dignity and ease. That matters. A lot. So yes, first of many pairs for me from the wonderful team at Vision Express Ludlow. Highly recommend.

  The optician in Ludlow who was the last to service my eyes are definitely the best in the area. I’m rating with past experiences with Hereford & Worcester location mainly.
