Absolutely shocking and could have been embarrassing had I not had the funds to cover it. Need to tell costs upfront before putting all the orders etc through and have alternatives. I also had an NHS voucher which should have indicated I didnt really have the spare money for such lenses.
- LLLocalguide1738Aug 11, 20262.0Very disappointed with my experience at Vision Express. I booked an upgraded eye test including an OCT scan and dry eye assessment, but neither was performed. Finding suitable glasses was equally frustrating. The staff provided no assistance choosing frames for my wider face, so I tried a pair on briefly myself. During the fitting, a staff member inspected them on my face, claimed they were fine, and let me purchase them. In reality, the frames were far too narrow—they were literally pressing into the sides of my head and eyes, and not resting properly at all. They never should have let me leave with frames that fit so poorly. After a few days of severe headaches, I returned to exchange them, only to learn they had no suitable NHS-covered options for my face shape. Refusing to pay extra to fix their mistake, I returned the glasses for a refund and took my prescription elsewhere. The lack of professional guidance and basic fitting standards was unacceptable.

She was excellent and gave me information I never knew existed.She showed me how they work and the benefits.She also gave me information on contact lens.I use another company but Qudsia explained about the price I could get for using my Blue Light card.This would make them cheaper than my usual provider so I will be back to the shop when my current pair go out of date.Thankyou for your excellent, informative time.Very polite and helpful.
