  As a Vitality Health member, I can book a free health assessment at any Virgin gym. After completing the questionnaire online, it stated that I would receive information about my time slot. I followed up by call as I had not received any confirmation, and I experienced the worst customer care that I have ever encountered. Virgin, you need to train your staff on manners; the sales team was rude, hostile, and extremely unprofessional. On the call, I was told that completing an online form was not the correct procedure and that's all they had been told to say. When I asked where my personal information had gone, as I had submitted details believing I was booking directly with Virgin, I was told to complain, and then the phone was hung up. I honestly am still in shock at the level of rudeness. You need to do better if this is how you talk to the general public! If I could give a 0, I would, but 1 star is the lowest.

  Terrible customer service. If you want a gym that makes it nearly impossible to cancel your membership - chose this one. You cannot cancel on the website, or on the app. They don't pick up the phone either. The cleanliness and amenities do not justify the price. I would not recommend.

  Customer service is not great. Although Abz is friendly and clearly passionate about what he does. Although it’s not the most expensive gym in Sheffield.. it definitely doesn’t feel premium at all, which it should for the cost. Booking systems are terrible; always waiting lists for the more popular classes. App always requiring me to reenter my information. Cleanliness in the sauna area is just okay, could be a lot better. The misinformation,misleading and lack of clear information has been an issue too. Especially regarding day pass allocation, child subscription policy & pricing. My biggest continuous irk though, is the lack of ab/core machines (I freeze over the summer & try other gyms) every other gym has these pieces of equipment.. even at some hotels! They had 1 core machine and it disappeared when they refurbished.. like what! You supposed to offer better/more equipment as time goes on, not limit/reduce options. The only thing that keeps me here is the location and the combination of what it has to offer.. it’s kind of a jack of all trades situation, but not mastering anything.

  Too pricey for the level of service they provide. I don’t think the spa area is cleaned at all. I noticed some dirt and deliberately kept an eye on it to see when it would be removed, but it remained there for more than two weeks. That’s very concerning, especially for a spa where cleanliness should be a top priority. This club is only worth around £20 per month. There is nothing special about the facilities or the service to justify charging around £100 per month.
