Kate in Sales has been absolutely amazing! I had so many questions throughout the process, and Kate was always prompt with her replies, patient and incredibly helpful. She took the time to answer all of my questions and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and her friendly and professional approach really stood out. Thank you, Kate, for all your help, you’ve been fantastic! Me and my son are absolutely loving it!

I’m a David Lloyd member and have been to some great clubs. I was in the area and wanted to pop in with my parents for a coffee, giving them a social pass while I had a swim. We were refused on account of restricted hours for guests on weekends, but the cafe was empty … the franchise need to allow a little autonomy and discretion for the front of house staff, instead of a robotic approach. Also the showers are terrible, just a dribble of water comes out … the gym and other facilities are reflective of a tier 4 David Lloyd & mostly up to scratch.

Maintenance not great, e.g. middle ladies loo never flushes properly, but plenty of hard working cleaners and a good choice of classes, albeit very few suitable for over 65s. Children get priority parking but not over 65s or mobility impaired. Lift but it is very slow.

Good gym, with lots of equipment recently updated. Lots of facilities available for tennis, badminton, swimming and more. Available soft play area for children in the cafe area. The showers unfortunately could really do with updating, also steam room and indoor jacuzzi. There's also a jacuzzi within the outdoor pool, but it's always freezing and nobody is ever in there. It seems if it would be separate from the pool and kept hot, it would be used much more. Overall, recommend to spend a day there with the kids etc, however can get rather busy throughout certain periods with trouble to park.

Went recently as a guest to try it out. I think David Lloyd is over rated. While the changing area was a decent size, with hairdryers and the odd straighteners, the showers were not very powerful, unless you used the hand one that unhooked on the side. I didn’t like the kids just running up and down while parents were changing. Is there not a family changing area. The drinks fountain by the pool was useless to top your water bottle up while using the sauna etc. one of those old fashion fountains where you bend over to drink from it. There is no cold plunge, or ice room, or a bucket to pull cold water over you after the sauna. There was a cold shower that was laughable as it trickles out, not powerful enough and hardly cold. There was a pool and jacuzzi outside which other members said they use to cool down, but even this wasn’t cold. Some areas were definitely in need of improvement, tiles missing from around the jacuzzi, loads of grit in the bottom of the jacuzzi. I was kinda put off using the pool after a child used it as a toilet and staff left fishing. I think for £144 membership, with the kids there, I wouldn’t be interested. You go there to relax and so you’d have to avoid it during school holidays. The car park was pretty busy as well.
