  Great leisure centre with professional and friendly staff, whether it’s the front desk, pool, classes or gym upstairs, they are all helpful, and very approachable. Gym upstairs has a good friendly staff and great atmosphere with lots of equipment and a mixed age range of users. The pools are large and a good swim with life guards and friendly staff. Big shout to Andre who is an asset to the centre. Friendly and always looking after the centre and the public users. The owners really need to invest in the whole building before they lose its quality and there staff that run the place.

  The gym is good, but I wouldn't recommend the pool at all; my friend had their belongings stolen twice, and the staff there were not helpful at all.

  The gym is good, but I wouldn't recommend the pool at all. My belongings were stolen twice – once my phone, once my shoes – and the staff there were completely unhelpful.

  I'm part of a peer group meeting weekly at the centre, followed by a chair exercise class. We have been attending for 3 years. Friendly and experienced staff.

  .I've been swimming here on Sunday mornings for over a month, so I feel I've had enough experience to give a fair review. At £5.60 per swim, I find it quite expensive, particularly given some of the issues I've experienced. The pool itself is okay and the temperature is manageable but the overall swimming experience can be frustrating. My biggest issue is the number of people who seem to use the pool as a place to socialise and chat rather than actually swim. People will regularly abruptly stop in the middle of the pool or congregate at either end, meaning that I constantly have to swim around them. As someone who is trying to build endurance, this is particularly frustrating because it prevents me from maintaining a consistent pace and rhythm. I appreciate that people want to socialise but there should be some consideration for those who are there specifically to exercise. Better enforcement of swimming etiquette or clearer guidance for swimmers would make a significant difference. Another issue is customers sitting around the poolside using their phones. I don't know what they're doing with them and wouldn't want to make an accusation without knowing though the possibility of people taking photos or recording in an area where people are swimming and changing is concerning. I think staff should be more proactive about monitoring phone use around the pool for privacy reasons. The changing area is another disappointment. The floor is always very wet which makes it difficult and uncomfortable to get changed. A consistently wet floor also doesn't create a particularly pleasant environment. It would be good to see more attention paid to keeping the changing area clean and dry. The pool itself is fine and the temperature is manageable but for £5.60 per swim I would expect a better overall experience. The issues with people socialising in the pool, phones being used poolside, and the consistently wet changing-room floor make the experience less enjoyable than it should be.
