  Very happy with service/diagnosis etc... however, the last time (Feb 25) that I bought a pair of gas permeable rigid lenses, they cost £90. This time they cost £170! I was shocked! Perhaps the scarcity of people wearing rigid GP lenses has caused the price rise.

  One of the most racist experiences I've had in the UK was at Vision Express. It was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Last week, I went for an eye check-up. After a long wait, a nurse (I believe she was a trainee or junior staff member, definitely not an eye specialist) checked my eyes for a few minutes and then simply asked me to wait outside. That was it—there was no feedback, no explanation of my eye health, and no discussion of the results. Nobody seemed to care enough to explain anything. The worst part came when I had to choose my frames. The lady assisting me was extremely impatient and rude. I'm not sure if she behaved that way only because of my skin colour, but I felt very embarrassed by the way she spoke to me. Even though I had several questions, I didn't feel comfortable asking them, so I just left the store. I would never recommend Vision Express to anyone. Previously, I was a regular customer at Specsavers, and I must say they are far more professional, helpful, and polite with their customers.

  I was late for my appointment by 5 minutes and denied to be checked by the receptionist. Found it very rude as my slot was booked for 25 minutes.

  I booked my appointment specifically for contact lenses. I am already wearing them, but I bought them elsewhere. They told me to bring my own lenses, which I did. When I arrived on the day of the appointment, they asked about my glasses. I explained that I don't want glasses but contact lenses. They said they couldn't do the trial without my glasses. I said I wanted to do the trial from scratch and not start with something I didn't want to have an opinion on. They kept insisting on glasses until someone on the team realised this and started my trials, but the rest of the team continued to insist on glasses. I decided to switch from another provider to something similar. Today I'm still waiting for my trial lenses, but it seems I will have to go to another store... I wasn't very satisfied. I don't want to be treated differently, just not forced to do what I don't want.
