  For the eye-test, their latest test equipment did not allow me to be tested with focus of both eyes at the same time as I had my complex two prisms loaded. It only allowed one or the other. For my new glasses, the differences between transition types and varifocal types was not easy to understand, and I had to ask another staff member who had more experience with lens types such as Ultra(?). I have no confidence with the lens type that I ordered, since there was absolutely no information attached to the order, other than the price. I had to remove the Driver option next day from my order because it was not obvious that there would be a 35% reduction of light, and not recommended for indoor use. Also, it wasn't clear what the effect of Driver polarisation would be on phone and watch screens, with no in-store examples. Also, the options on the website did not seem to match the later(?) options in the store.

  Customer service is unbelievably terrible. The woman in reception needs more training of her customer service and uninvolved attitude. Never come again and never recommend this place very very bad

  Terrible. Avoid and go to Twyford if you can. Went in to buy sunglasses. Was met with a blank response when I said I wanted 100% UV protection then told they don’t do them. A second person came over to unlock the cabinet and again said they had no way of knowing what the UV rating was for the sunglasses. After googling it myself and picking a pair for £54 went to pay. Was told I had to sign up and give personal information in order to buy the sunglasses. I declined and asked for a standard sales receipt. After I’d paid the card machine receipt was waved at me and I was told that’s my receipt. I said no I need a sales receipt that could be used in case of refund. Again met with a blank response and rudely told the system was broken so they can’t do sales receipts without adding personal information to the system and signing someone up to vision express. Asked for a refund immediately. Even then I had to reiterate twice that I would require a copy of the card sales receipt AND card refund receipt. Appalling service. Avoid. Went to Twyford the next day and ended up spending nearly three times more and booking and an eye test because of the exemplary customer service in Twyford.
