  We started with a trial membership and Phoebe took care of our membership enquiries and showed us round the gym. She was professional, friendly and always willing to answer questions and support us before we signed up for the full membership experience. Phoebe is a credit to David Lloyd. Thanks for all your help 👍

  I recently re-joined David Lloyd as I’ve been seeing a PT with a home gym. I’d finally reached the point where I felt confident enough to venture into a gym environment, so I was weighing up my options locally. Ethan was really helpful throughout the sign-up process - no pressure at all, just clear explanations about the facilities, membership options and what would suit me best. It made the whole experience feel very easy and welcoming and I’m really pleased I decided to re-join.

  Currently on a 2-week paid trial and, to be fair, the facilities themselves are very good — lovely outdoor pool, decent gym, good coffee and a high standard of cleanliness. Unfortunately, the customer service lets the club down. I’ve made countless calls to reception that simply haven’t been answered. I also requested a refund for a guest pass after the club was evacuated for 90 minutes, leaving us standing outside in our swimming costumes. For the past four days I’ve chased this refund every day. Each time I’m told, “It’ll be sorted when the manager is in later.” It never is, so the following day I have to chase again. I still haven’t received the refund. It’s a shame because the club itself is nice, but basic communication and customer service shouldn’t be this difficult. **Nice club — poor customer service**

  I had a great experience being shown around David Lloyd Port Solent by Ethan. He was professional and knowledgeable throughout the tour, answering all of my questions confidently and giving me a really good overview of the club and everything it has to offer. What stood out most was how quickly he built a good rapport with me. He was friendly, approachable and genuinely engaging from the start, which made the whole experience feel relaxed rather than like a sales pitch. Ethan is a real credit to the team and gave me an excellent first impression of the club. Thanks again!
