  I had a fantastic experience at David Clulow today. I popped into the store last week as I was after a pair of prescription sunglasses. I realised my prescription was due to be updated and was advised that a sight test is free when purchasing spectacles from the store, so I booked in and met Dev today. A 5* eye test experience. I felt listened to and reassured. However, particular thanks must be extended to Paola, who has the patience of 100 angels, and not only helped me with my new sunglasses but fitted about six pairs of my old specs that I had bent and buckled over the years so that I can now wear them again. I suspect this was quite an annoying task to complete but I am SO grateful. Paola, you are PERFECTION. Thank you.

  Hi originally went in to get my glasses repaired and contacted the branch two days later to check progress spoke to a gentleman called Olly who was super helpful diagnosed the problem and had my glasses back in the post to me in less than a few hours which will arrive tomorrow great service

  The opticians department ad John Lewis were so kind and patient with the repair of my glasses, and they even cleaned the lens afterward and taught me how to maintain the care of my old pair! Thank you so much especially to, I think Amy? She was lovely and super helpful!

  I had a mixed experience at this shop today. While trying on sunglasses, I asked if it would be possible to remove the security tag, as it was affecting the fit and making it difficult to decide. I do understand that this can be difficult for staff due to store policies, but the response I received felt quite rigid and not very reassuring. Just as I was about to leave, another staff member approached me, understood my concern, and kindly offered help. Her attitude made a real difference and turned the experience into a more positive one. It showed me how a little flexibility and understanding can go a long way in making customers feel comfortable and valued.
