The test was extremely thorough with a lot of great technology used to monitor various aspects of my hearing. The people who did the test were very helpful and made it a relaxing experience and also explained various aspects of the results and did not try to 'up sell' anything to me but were honest about what I might need in the future - but not immediately. Highly recommend this branch and the test itself.

I want to thank the audiologists at specsavers Bicester. They were live-savers when I entered at 15:30 on a Sunday with total hearing loss in my right ear and they happily accepted me through as I was in discomfort. They removed an earwax plug that had worked its way down to the ear drum and I was as good as new afterwards. Thank you for taking me in when I was in pain and meaning you had to work over your finishing time. I truly appreciate it and will be returning in future for further treatments 5stars

I have been a Specsavers customer for 21 years ( my previous being in Epsom Surrey) and I find the Bicester store the worst! Only today did I again encounter poor service from a staff member whom I had never seen before ( Bicester branch seem to have an extremely high staff turnover rate, you never see anyone that you recognise). I live rural so only come into Bicester when necessary and, as I am partially disabled, it takes me a long time to walk to where I need to go with my hubby's help. I decided to pop into Specsavers to see if by chance my contact lenses were ready to save me another journey. The young lady on the counter flicked through the box of contact lenses and said " no there's nothing here, did you get a text message?" I replied no but just came in on the offchance in case they had arrived. She never bothered to look elsewhere or enquire so I left. Exactly 5 minutes later I got a message to say my lenses were there so they had obviously been there all along, just in a different drawer/cupboard/ office. By the time I had hobbled back to the store, needless to say I was miffed to put it politely. I was given my lenses but no apology for the inconvenience of me having to struggle back to the store. I think Specsavers need to choose their staff on their knowledge and willingness to help customers and not on how they look with their fake eyelashes, false nails so long they can't even open a cupboard up or press a key on the computer! After all, Specsavers is not dissimilar to a medical facility where professionalism is key, not how one looks!

It is a great place for a regular eye test, the orders don’t take too long and delivered on time. They also have good range of frames. Highly recommended.

I haven't been a Supersavers customer for many years after a family friend recommended an independent. However last Tuesday 19th May 2026, I needed help and called the closest optician to where I was parked J10 services M40 Southbound. I was at the start of a 7 day journey through France, Belgium and Germany. After a coffee stop on the M40 and ready to resume my journey, I cleaned my Varifocal spectacles and the worst possible thing happened, the spectacles literally fell apart, the bridge breaking near the right lens. These are Flexon (titanium?) frames I have had for some years. My first thought was to see if a repair was possible, so I googled nearest options (Specsavers Bicester) to ask the question. Sadly I was disappointed, as the lady who answered my call at 15.11 on the 19th May was very unhelpful. Once she had established that I wasn't currently a customer she closed the conversation down very quickly. I would have purchased frames if they could even remotely be temporarily used to install my lenses, but 'No' was the answer, as it was to all my other polite questions seeking help. I cannot believe that with a little creativity and some empathy, a temporary solution could have been offered but...'No'. Not a shred of empathy or enthusiasm to offer a solution, the call was shut down with impolite haste. I just about managed throughout the trip with a combination of my prescription Rayban sunglasses, my computer screen glasses set at 500mm focal length and an old pair of Varifocals from my last prescription. Thankfully the weather in Europe was mostly sunny, so the Raybans saved the day through 1460 miles of driving. Eyestrain however for the rest of the trip has been a problem . I have to say that for such a well known brand, this Specsavers experience was not one I should have had to go through. Maybe as the branches are franchises, another branch would be more forthcoming. Bicester needs to look at its customer facing philosophy instead of coming across as very self-centred and unhelpful. You are all optometrists looking after our eyes, professional pride you'd think might have encouraged a helping hand, but sadly not.
