The over all appointment was okay, what really annoyed me was the lack of communication between the staff and management and them not following through. I asked Vision express prior that if I was to bring in eye health form in would they be able to do it and they said yes (but no mention of fee) I was told by my optician Mohammed Serag Saleem at Vision Express Huddersfield Road Oldham that because I’m buying glasses they weren’t going to charge me for the form and that he spoke to his manager and confirmed this. Unfortunately I couldn’t buy the glasses that day so I came back from work the next day. When I went up to the counter I was charged £74.50!!! I had 30% off the glasses and free eye test for a discount. £45 for the form to be filled out! When I was told that I wasn't going to charged for it. The manager looked at me dead in the eye and when I was paying. I should have done my homework and looked around but why would I look around when I was told I wasn’t going to be charged and they haven’t done me wrong before but to be charged more for a form to be filled in then the glasses is crazy enough but imagine if I didn’t have that discount! Would have been well over £100. I’m shocked and disappointed. I know businesses have got to make money this is just wrong. The only good experience was the associate Jane R who really helped get the discount on my phone because I was still rattled about being charged for the form - Thank you that’s why the rating is 2 stars
