I visited the gym & was shown around by Cameron. The facilities are great & offer everything I’m looking for in a gym & wellness/wellbeing facility. In addition to the variety of classes, gym space, & pool/spa facilities, one of the deciding factors was the workspace offered, allowing me to work from the gym pre or post-class in a space reserved specifically for working.

Great club full of great people. Staff incredibly helpful, signup process was a bit difficult but was walked through easily with Harry. Very tidy place, pool and spa features are great and always available.
I rarely leave reviews, but unfortunately my experience with David Lloyd Harrogate ended on a disappointing note.
The gym is ok, but some areas are starting to feel tired and in need of investment. Most of the staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful.
Where things really started to unravel was around the membership renewal and retention process.
The renewal offer presented didn’t provide enough value for me to continue my membership and led to my decision to cancel. Unfortunately, what followed was weeks of conflicting information, contradictory advice and repeated assurances that someone from the club would contact me, which never happened.
At various points I was told a member of the management team would call me to discuss the situation. Despite this being promised several times, nobody ever did. I even called the club directly to confirm my cancellation arrangements and was advised that a manager would get back to me. Again, no response.
The whole process felt disjointed, with different people providing different information and no clear ownership of the issue. Eventually the matter was resolved, but only after considerable effort on my part and far more back and forth than should have been necessary.
It’s a real shame because the biggest disappointment wasn’t my decision to leave, it was the experience afterwards. For a premium membership club, I expected a far more professional renewal, retention and cancellation process than the one I encountered.
A little more focus on existing members, and a little less on new member sales, would go a long way.

Love coming down, whether it be for a workout or just relaxing in the cafe. Everyone is super friendly, Rosie, Spencer, Cal, Callum, Caroline! Huge range of classes which are good fun, there is something for everyone. PT sessions are brilliant too, especially Barny he currently trains my partner and mum, super patient and meets individual needs.

Been a member for over 3 years now and was really happy. Over those three years membership has increased and the standards of the club has massively declined.
It’s absolutely disgusting the swimming pool
Is filthy the windows are full of mould the changing rooms are not much different.
There’s almost always equipment out of order. The massage gun station used to be full and now 75% of it has been stolen the other 25% doesn’t even work. I pay £210 a month for my wife and I and it is so unbelievably not worth it now.
I have had to give notice of three months to leave now costing a further £630 to get out of the contact.
We are moving to Nuffield the standards of hygiene was visible from the moment we walked in modern equipment all working.
