  Disappointing experience after rejoining We recently rejoined David Lloyd West Bridgford after being members a few years ago, having now permanently moved back to the area. Unfortunately, our experience so far has been quite disappointing, particularly considering the price and the standards you would expect from a premium health club. Cleanliness is a real concern. There are lockers that clearly aren’t being cleaned properly. I noticed the same dirt and sticky-looking residue inside a locker throughout the week, with nobody appearing to clean it. The shampoo dispensers are also an issue — several simply don’t work, giving the impression that old bottles are repeatedly being reused without checking whether they are actually functional. The spa facilities are also disappointing. One of the steam rooms worked initially but is now out of order, with no clear information about when it will be repaired. The spa is frequently overcrowded, and having only three loungers around the jacuzzi is nowhere near enough for a club of this size. Another concern is people using phones around the jacuzzi/spa area. You have no idea whether you are being photographed or recorded, yet there seems to be little or no reaction from staff. This is particularly uncomfortable in an area where members should reasonably expect privacy. And then there is the issue of towels. Asking for an additional towel should not make a member feel like they are doing something wrong. We were recently made to feel extremely uncomfortable simply for asking for a second towel so that we could have a clean one after using the spa. With people taking towels from around the jacuzzi, you can easily be left without one, yet asking for another seems to be treated almost like an inconvenience or a serious offence. Overall, for a club marketed as a premium gym and spa, the experience currently falls well short of what we expected. We rejoined because we remembered David Lloyd as a high-quality club and because we now live locally, but so far we are questioning whether the membership represents good value for money. There is significant room for improvement, particularly around cleanliness, maintenance of facilities, availability of towels, staff attitude and the general management of the spa area. I really hope these issues are addressed because the club has the potential to be excellent, but at the moment the experience does not justify the premium price.

  Had a fantastic tour with Felix and really can’t wait to get started!! Amazing facilities. Really looking forward to doing the Blaze classes and using the spa!!

  Super impressed with the place and with the guided tour by Felix. Signed up right away and am looking forward to using everything the place has to offer!.. especially the spa and tennis courts!

  The best health club in Nottingham! Great facilities, the gym is huge and the spa is next level. The staff are so friendly and helpful, made us feel very welcome. Thank you to Rob and the team, we'll be back for sure 🙌
