Pool is OK, the wait at reception is ridiculous, have to turn up 10 minutes early or you loose all your time waiting at reception 🤷♀️

Went to the leisure pool for a family swim on may bank holiday Monday.
* parking
The car park was absolutely rammed, along with parking in the surrounding streets. I noticed a lot of people parking in the car park and then walk off to the harbour, I found this quite frustrating as a customer unable to park in a car park for the leisure centre, especially when I had a swimming session booked. I think it was 2 hours free parking.
* booking online.
I had booked online as the spaces were filling up fast. I found this quite difficult to do, I had to sign up and then try and pay. It didn't work the first time, it kept refusing the payment and saying I had too many children. I had 3 adults to 3 children. I gave up and then booked the following day with no problems, but it was frustrating as the original session i wanted to do was then sold out.
* changing rooms....
As you enter the unisex changing rooms there is a small place where you have to take your shoes off... this space is VERY small and there is limited space, its a bit of a struggle when you are trying to put your shoes away or put them back on when people are coming in and out of the changing room - despite this, the changing room floors and seating areas were disgusting, it made me feel physically sick and made me really anxious and stressed during getting changed before and after the swimming pool.
* the pool
The leisure pool itself is quite simple but has fun features. There are 2 slides, but only for children to use and not adults - even though i feel an adult would safely be able to go down with a child.
There were a few sprinklers and use of 2 small round pools. It did get quite boring after a while and even though it was only limited to a certain number of people, it still felt very crowded.
At one point, my son came down the big slide and then another child came down directly behind him, pushing my son off the slide and into the water - this was dangerous and it was lucky I was there - bearing in mind it is right next to the lifeguard, they didn't say anything, not sure what they are there to actually do if not state safety. I saw this child do it a few times to other children as well on the same slide.
* shower
shower was nice and hot but they are right next to the pool, so it feels uncomfortable to have a proper wash and hair wash after getting out of the pool.
Overall the experience was okay, the main thing that did it for me was how dirty the changing rooms were.
The price was fair but I don't think I will return again.

Unfortunately when booking to use the swimming pool here, we didn’t really get the memo that the children’s area and main swimming pool were now restricted to certain tickets, I used to come here often growing up with my mother when both were included in the ticket, I was taken aback to find out since covid they are now two separate tickets which would require doubling the cost for full access if not limited on booking space, not to mention the lockers which require you to bring your own padlock or pay £6 for one to have the option to securely store your things?!?! No free or £1 coin/token lockers like most pools??? I have no complaints about the staff they were approachable and seemed friendly but I think the business itself has a lot of audacity to charge double the price for a facility that pre covid was completely accessible in one ticket, it really disappointed my young nieces. If you’re looking for an affordable pool with good facilities particularly for young children, quite frankly there are now much better ones in and around Bristol with similarly priced tickets.

Decent facilities but the price just keeps creeping up. For someone that only uses the gym it doesn't seem like good value for money. The final straw was having an operation and being told I could freeze my membership but that still costs £5 a month in the end I cancelled and will probably join somewhere else post recovery
