This newcastle store is brilliant.was in north shields store first but they said the frames i wanted were out of stock even online so I went to eldon square. They ordered them straight away and couldn't believe why north shields were reluctant to order them for me .so I had to go to Newcastle on metro to order them .very disappointed with north shields.

There were a number of issues which Needed to be addressed. Everything was dealt with by a highly professional staff with great courtesy and efficiency. The five stars is well earned

(See further down for updated review) My 3 stars are no reflection on the staff or the service as they were both spot on. Unfortunately, it was the lack of selection of budget glasses that let them down. Both myself and my son struggled to find a pair that we liked/suited. Even then it was a case of ‘these will do’, rather than ‘I like these’. I have dropped my 3 stars down to a 1 (if I could I would have given no stars) Picked up glasses on Sunday and when I got home and put them on they were really uncomfortable and hurt my face due to them being front heavy. Unfortunately, there are no other glasses for me to choose from, so although I have been refunded, I have now lost my NHS voucher, leaving me unable to afford another pair until I am entitled to another voucher in 2 years time. This is beyond unacceptable. My advice…. Don’t use Vision Express.

I am incredibly grateful to this wonderful doctor Shadiya . I went in for a routine eye test to get new glasses, but the doctor’s thorough examination discovered a cyst in my eye that I was completely unaware of. She immediately contacted my doctor and arranged for me to receive further medical attention. Her kindness, compassion and attention to detail truly touched my heart. I honestly feel that she may have made a life-changing difference for me. Thank you for not just checking my eyes, but for truly caring about me. You are an exceptional doctor and a beautiful human being. ❤️
