  Absolutely unacceptable service. This pharmacy now operates on a 24–72 hour prescription policy, which is a huge drop in standards. It used to take around an hour, and now patients are expected to wait up to three days for medication. In my case, it took nearly the full 72 hours, with no proper communication or urgency. For something as essential as prescriptions, this level of delay is shocking. I understand services are busy, but this feels like a complete disregard for patient needs. A pharmacy should not be normalising such long waits.

  I had a really frustrating experience here. I asked for an eye ointment that is sold over the counter and had even been recommended by an ophthalmologist for a minor corneal scratch. Despite explaining this clearly, the staff refused to sell it, insisting it could only be used for conjunctivitis—which makes no sense. It’s an over-the-counter product, so the reason for purchase shouldn’t be restricted like that. The attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. I went to another pharmacy and had no issues at all—they sold it straight away, as expected. Even my ophthalmologist agreed this situation was unnecessary and unhelpful. Very disappointing service.

  My GP sent prescription around midday to Tescos pharmacy Kew, Southport. Went to collect and told I would receive a text when ready. Heard nothing more today. This is required medication not a box of dolly mixtures. Wake up to your job.

  The service in here is terrible! The blonde woman approaches and can’t help with anything, just shouldn’t be there. I am a pharmacy technician working within hospital so our job is all about care!! Which these do not!! The amount of times she just shuts people down and offers nothing. Save yourself and go to Asda pharmacy at least they listen and help and are actually good at their job. The staff here are a joke.

  Had to wait 30 minutes for an emergency prescription (not my usual pharmacy). Doctor couldn’t find my details, had to show him my NHS app to prove what I was on. Whilst waiting about 10 other customers all got given excuses… we’ve only got 2 staff, I’ve got 150 prescriptions to make up, the printer is jammed, we’ve not had your request…. It was pretty impressive. I think one person actually got their prescription whilst everyone else got told, “it’ll be an hour”, “call the doctors Monday”. This is a terrible pharmacy, they use the excuse of being in Tesco so they can send people off to walk around. If this is your regular pharmacy, I’d think about changing
