  I've just joined and so far I love this gym. I'm in my 40s now and I need to have a sauna and jacuzzi for my recovery, stretching isn't enough anymore. Staff are really friendly (I looked at three gyms in the local area, staff here were the nicest), the gym is a good size, nice range of equipment and loads of kettlebells which is the only way I weight train now. Dedicated reformer pilates room, sounds bath sessions. Beautiful spa area, I've been to some amazing spas that cost a lot to visit, this holds up pretty well. I only go when I can during the day and there's always plenty of space and equipment to use. Every time I've been, I've spoken to at least one other member; the community there is really nice, too.

  The best thing about this gym are the classes. Dev and Kate are great reformer instructors and always super friendly. The rest of the staff however - they all seem to have their own rule book which only applies when they feel like it. When I first joined, I asked for a lock for the lockers and one person said its free, the other says £10 - nevertheless whenever I asked they were always out of stock. Ive asked about classes on guest passes and one said book 7 days in advance at the desk, the other says to book on the day. None of them know whats going on. The showers and changing rooms aren't clean and they often smell of sewage. The pool and sauna area is nice - cant comment on the steam room because it hasn't been working for the last 6 months since I joined. The actual gym space is relatively small and seems well looked after. Only other negative is that parking can be an issue during peak times. I'd recommend joining another virgin club and avoid this one if you can - especially if youre paying full price membership. Not worth it.

  I don’t recommend signing up to this gym for multiple reasons. All in all it’s a lovely relaxing vibe in this gym ( well the spa area ) however it can be so hot and miss for your workouts. It seems to be at very full capacity 90% of the time making it so hard to follow a routine with equipment either being used or broken. Not only is this one of my issues but also it’s very unreliable , this week alone I’ve been told 1. I can’t use my free smoothie because the app isn’t working 2. I can’t attend my gym for 2 days in counting because of an apparent water leak 3. My instructor failed to show up to my 7:30 AM reformer class 4. The steam hasn’t been accessible for nearly 3 months due to ‘ refurbishment ‘ This list goes on as this is just in my recent weeks! I LOVED it here originally but now I am finding it so hard to be in a good routine and really wish I could leave but nope not possible due to a 12 month contract . I recommend thoroughly thinking about your decision before joining Repton park !

  The gym layout is horrendous. Extremely limited choice of equipment in a huge space, poorly divided and a lot of space unused. Coupled with bad music for a gym in most days. Top it all up with a £120/ month membership 12 months contract.
