The club is ok, it’s not the best of David Lloyd’s which is why the price is lower. The great perks of the club is kids club when you can get a booking the low is poor cleanliness, inconsistent customer service and payment add ons for fun activities, so you end up paying for a local community gym with an addition with activities for kids

Not great. The first impression has worn off in the first week at this gym. To start with - the hickups with membership and access. I am not actively looking for something bad to say there are good things too. However, the first thing that got my attention was how dirty this club is! One has to be either blind or have absolutely no standars to accept it. There are piles of dust and hair everywhere, drops of sweat all over on cardio machines, strong smell of sweat on stretching mats, equipment not being cleaned for weeks (if ever) especially allong the windows, men's toilets are close to public toilet standard, showers are full of hair, limescale and sewer smell, shower heads are clogged with limescale sending water to all different directions. Showers are cleaned with just watter and mops, no products involved. Steam room is on another lever.. when first started using it it had a nice eucalyptus smell and background music. This is long gone now! Rotten smell and music is on when someone from staff team remembers to turn it on I guess, perhaps depends on a mood that day! The narrow strip of the seat edge is so slimy underneeth, it has never experienced a sponge contact since the day it was installed! Feel free to sheck it out, but not recomended (even cleaners are scared of it). Someone mentioned maggots - I am not surprised. Towels, although clean, they don't smell good. Manager needs to look into this and follow up with the vendor. It's a family friendly gym, however not a cretche. Kids run free everywhere, under 10yo use weight machines. Boys mingle with naked women in the changing rooms, and other way round - girls going to men's changing rooms with their dads while a guy is drying his crotch with a hairdryer! You could't make this up! Outdoor swimming pool was out of action for days and baring in mind we all have DL app, David Lloyds has everyone's e-mail addresses etc. nobody bothers to notify members. There are ppl who only come to gym for outdoor pool. If there was some order and good cleaning standard in place, as you would expect for an expensive gym like this, it would be nice, as facilities of this club are quite good. Lots of parking spaces, even before you get to DL parking it's free on the street. I hope it improves soon, it has potential to be great, and I really hope so as it's our local gym. Photo attached was taken yesterday in the men's changing rooms...

It is a nice place, in the changing room toilets one of the urinals is blocked and not draining and is very smelly. The taps are spraying out in all directions so could do with replacing. The mirrors' paint is peeling off. The space is really nice though and the staff are brilliant. If the toilets can just have a bit of TLC and new taps and mirrors then it would be 100%.

I had a tour around today from Dixie who was very helpful and answered all my questions. She is lovely to talk to as well and has a sense of humour and not one of these sales people who have a fake work personality. Thank you very much Dixie and I look forward to signing up in a couple of weeks.
