  Enreek was very helpful in setting up my family membership and helped book in a PT session, lessons for my children and made the sign up process very easy. Can’t wait to get started!

  Great facilities, today we used pickleball badminton, the pool and gym. All excellent. Had an early dinner at the club and we had the steak which was done to perfection and had the chicken with Korean grains, didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised and would order again. Car park a little busy later in the afternoon but still.got a parking spot.

  We recently joined David Lloyd as a family, myself, my daughter and my little son, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience so far! A huge thank you to Hannah, who gave us such a lovely and informative tour, answered all of our questions and has continued to support us throughout the whole process. She has been so kind, warm and welcoming, making everything feel easy and exciting. We’re so excited to start going to the club from September and couldn’t be more grateful to have had someone as lovely as Hannah help us along the way.

  I visited David Lloyd as a prospective member and was considering joining at a cost of around £270 per month. Unfortunately, what should have been a straightforward visit left me feeling extremely uncomfortable. During the conversation, a member of staff focused on my Slavic accent and on English not being my first language, despite the fact that we were able to communicate without difficulty. In his follow-up email, he explicitly wrote: “Your English was fine and I understood everything you were trying to explain.” Despite this, the email then discussed how difficult it can be to explore new places and have conversations while learning a new language, and offered to support me through that process. I found this patronising and inappropriate. I had come to view a health club as an adult prospective customer. I had not asked for my accent or English ability to be assessed, nor had I asked for help with learning English. Given that the member of staff himself confirmed that he understood everything I said, I do not understand why my accent or language ability needed to become a subject of discussion at all. I raised my concerns in writing afterwards. I was then contacted by phone. Given that my complaint specifically concerned being made uncomfortable about my spoken English and accent, I found a phone call an especially unfortunate choice of response. I would have strongly preferred a substantive written reply addressing what had happened and explaining the club’s position. The experience was particularly disappointing because I was looking for somewhere I could feel comfortable attending regularly. Instead, I left feeling self-conscious about speaking English and uncomfortable about returning. For a club charging around £270 per month, I expected a considerably more professional and thoughtful experience.

  Hannah was absolutely exceptional, she took my family on a tour and explained everything in detail, from the child classes to the group exercise classes for adults, anyone looking to become a member should go straight to her. Shes the best in the business by far, no complaints, Bosh!
