I was extremely disappointed that my 8:25 am appointment with the Optician was cancelled without prior notice. I was only told of this when I arrived at the store, and was offered an appointment an hour later, even though I was the only customer in the store.

Very disappointing experience with Vision Express Cheapside.
After my eye test in October 2025, I was told my eyesight had worsened and was given a new prescription. Based on this, I ordered new glasses and contact lenses (not from Vision Express). However, after wearing them for several months, I experienced constant headaches, blurry vision, and serious difficulty focusing, especially when working on screens. Eventually, I had to switch back to my old glasses, which immediately felt more comfortable.
I returned in April 2026 for a recheck, where another optician slightly changed the prescription again. Vision Express reglazed my frames, but the exact same issues continued. I informed staff immediately that my vision was blurry and I could not focus properly, but I was told to give it time and adjust to the new prescription. Unfortunately, the symptoms never improved.
I eventually went to Vision Express Stratford Westfield for another recheck, and they confirmed that my prescription had not significantly changed and that my original prescription was still correct. Thankfully, the staff there were professional, polite, and genuinely helpful.
Unfortunately, the repeated incorrect prescriptions from the Cheapside branch caused months of headaches, discomfort, blurred vision, unnecessary expenses, and difficulties carrying out my work properly.
Very disappointed with the level of care and accuracy provided at this branch.
I had such a lovely experience at this opticians. All of the staff were so kind, welcoming and helpful throughout my visit. A special thank you to Huzaifah and Kane for being especially friendly, professional and patient. Excellent customer service from everyone, would definitely recommend!
I had a number of issues with my experience with Vision Express. I went in for a contact lens appointment, and got sold a 3 month supply and paid up front. Then they started taking payments from the next month, and I have to pay up until the end of the next 3 months to receive my next order, which lands in 3 months time. This means they will always be ahead in payments without sending anything. They do not provide invoices or receipts.
I also asked 2 members of staff to email me the details of my contact lens prescription and for the transaction, and both of them failed to do so, though they said they would.
Avoid.
Very impressed with this vision express. Store is very nicely presented, Huzaifah was very knowledgeable took his time to advise me and walk me through the steps. Even took time to recommend some frames and when his next appointment came, he made sure I was attended to by one of the sales team who were also great, very friendly and professional.
