  This place has honestly become my number one spot for glasses. Last month I had amazing service and a really helpful consultation for contact lenses. And today Mihaela managed to save my expensive prescription sunglasses after I completely smashed them on a train by sitting on them. I was sure they were gone for good, but she brought them back. Thank you, Mihaela!

  Megbe hekped me fixed a pair of sunglasses not purchased from here, free of charge. She's been very patient and made sure the glasses fit perfectly before I go. Really appreciate her help! I'll def get all my glasses / sunglasses here going forward.

  Today I came in for an NHS eye check appointment at 11:00. During my visit, I was seen by a female staff member (red hair, unfortunately I did not catch her name). My experience with her customer service was very poor. I did not feel welcomed or treated with respect throughout the consultation. When I mentioned that I was attending through an NHS check, she asked where I was from. After that, I personally felt that her attitude towards me changed and became noticeably less friendly and dismissive. I cannot say for certain why, but this was my impression based on the interaction. I also asked about standard NHS optical options for glasses. I was told that there are no standard free NHS glasses available, and I was only shown paid options. However, I was under the impression that there should be basic NHS-covered options available, so I felt confused and not properly informed during the process. Overall, I was disappointed with the service and how I was treated during my appointment. I hope this feedback is taken into consideration, especially regarding customer service and communication with NHS patients.

  My second visit with Vision Express today. They have an excellent layout. I love the individual stations to try glasses etc. I tried contact lenses for the first time today. I sat at the back of the store, away from the main area. It was clean and well laid out. Amy guided me through the process, she's a great teacher and I found her very patient. I was able to insert contact lenses, remove them successfully, ask questions and feel confident as I left the store. I will come back to purchase a pair of reading glasses. They have glasses for every budget and they're all quality frames, they boost a larger selection than say Spec savers.

  This has become absurd. I cancelled my subscription in March and received written confirmation that it had been cancelled. I was also told that a refund would be issued. What followed has been a masterclass in passing responsibility from one person to another while nobody actually solves the problem. For months I have been given excuse after excuse. I was told the refund had been processed. Then I was told there was a problem. Then I was told there were operational issues. Then I was told the refund had been reprocessed. At every stage, somebody had an explanation. Nobody had a solution. The most remarkable part is that despite repeatedly asking for the most basic piece of information — a refund reference number, transaction ID, ARN or any traceable proof that the money was actually sent — my questions were consistently ignored. Not answered. Ignored. Instead, I was expected to simply trust whatever explanation was being offered that week. The bank was blamed. Internal systems were blamed. Operational issues were blamed. Everything and everyone has apparently been responsible except the company that actually owes the money. The refund is only £45. The amount is irrelevant at this point. What has shocked me is watching how much time, effort and energy a large company is willing to spend avoiding accountability for such a small amount of money. If this is how Vision Express handles a straightforward £45 refund, I would strongly recommend keeping written records of every single interaction you have with them. As of today, I am still waiting.
