  Dismissive and abysmal service from the workers here! I have also emailed the customer service team to complain in depth about the experience here. Judging by other reviews, it seems like insolence and dismissal is commonplace here!

  Had my very first Eye test with the Vision express Surrey Quays team today. Thank you Dawn and Stefan for making that experience so swift and easy. amazing customer service and great eye care advice. :)

  I called them an hour before my appointment to ask what I needed to do to update my contact lens prescription. The call lasted 12 minutes, when all I really wanted was something as simple as "mate, just show me the letters and tell me what my new prescription is". Instead, the guy on the phone offered me 3 different solutions, even though I was pretty clear that all I wanted was an updated prescription. Eventually, he suggested I book the eye test & contact lens consultation, and assured me twice that the consultation would cost £30. I even repeated the price at the end of the call to make sure, and he confirmed it again. So I booked it. After the consultation, when I went to pay, I was charged £65. I explained that I'd literally called an hour earlier and been told it would cost £30, but they said there was nothing they could do about it and that I'd have to contact customer service to request a partial refund. I did that, and they said they'd get back to me by yesterday. Still nothing. Giving 2 stars because the actual service wasn't particularly bad. It's just the pricing and the way this was handled. I specifically called beforehand to check the price, and I wouldn't have gone ahead if I'd been told it was £65. Boots is literally right next door and does the contact lens test for much less. Pretty frustrating to make the effort to check the price in advance, get reassured twice, and then find out the real price only after the consultation is already done.
