  Fantastic service from moment walked in at Reception and a really well planned and delivered Reformer Pilates class with Ciara. Really clear instructions given at a good pace delivered with positive energy.

  This gym needs a serious makeover. Changing rooms are disgusting and smell with little flies in them. Barely a cleaner in site whilst 4 people sit and chat at reception with no regard to customer service. Would like to caveat that with a shout out to Raheem (hope I spelt that right). He is extremely polite, helpful and professional. Never any soap in the showers. Toilets broken and leaking onto the floors. Finally, I feel sorry for any women using the Sauna - I’ve been in there plenty of times when horrible blokes are talking why they are only in there to look at women and making comments about their appearance - whilst they are in there. Grim. The gym itself is decent, but gets busy at peak times like any. Far from being a “luxury gym”. It’s a pure gym (insult to pure gym?) with towels.

  I would like to share some positive feedback about Tom, the manager at Virgin Active Wandsworth. One of the things that stands out most is his constant presence and involvement throughout the club. I regularly see Tom both at reception and on the gym floor, always approachable, willing to help, and ready to answer any questions members may have. He is highly visible and actively engaged with both members and staff. I have also noticed the increased presence of other managers on the gym floor, which creates a more welcoming and professional atmosphere throughout the club. Having been a Virgin Active member for many years and having visited several different clubs, I can honestly say that I have rarely come across a manager who is as active, visible, and committed as Tom. The positive changes are already noticeable, and I am confident that his leadership and hands-on approach will continue to deliver excellent results for both members and the club. Thank you, Tom, for your dedication and the positive impact you are making at Wandsworth.

  The gym is okay. It’s usually not too full which is great. I wish there were more beginner classes, like for boxing a foundational class and more Pilates foundational classes at times that full time working people can access. The cleanliness needs to be improved. The (women’s) showers and changing room are not clean enough. Compared to another virgin active i used to go to, it’s too dirty. Please keep your standard as virgin active and work on this, as so many reviews have mentioned. More cleaners could be a solution. The cleaner has now sprayed freezing water on my feet while I was in the shower, and also yanked my towel away, as it was laying next to me in the changing room without asking. Unfortunately the men in the sauna are always talking loudly, and you don’t get peace. Comparing to another Virgin Active I used to go to it was calm there and it was a good mix of men and women. Here the men take over and are too loud. I wish I was closer to another Virgin active. I really hope they work on these things. Also, please open later on the weekend! 8pm is extremely early.
