  The equipment is quite old and hasn't been updated since I was a member over six years ago. I rejoined the gym a couple of months ago, and it still hasn't been refurbished. Tuesday evening, I accidentally left my Adidas glass water bottle behind. As soon as I noticed, I tried calling reception, but it was impossible to speak to anyone. I called the following day, but no one from customer service answered, so I had to open an email ticket (Ref. 563135). When I went back to the gym the next day, the bottle wasn't in lost property. I've had this bottle for over six years. I've forgotten it at other gyms before, and it has always been returned to me. The fact that it disappeared here makes me question the type of members this gym attracts; people pay £80–£100 a month and still steal other members' belongings. On top of that, it's impossible to reach staff by phone. Overall, this gym is not worth the price. Be careful with your belongings....

  Do not join this gym if you are LGBTQIA+. Following some pretty horrific homophobic behaviour resulting in an incident where I was threatened & attempts were made to oust me from a communal area by a group of Muslim women, I’ve had no choice but to leave mid-contact and join another gym. I made a complaint to management who to their credit said they would try and identify the group involved, but due to the threat of violence and potential for retaliation I decided against pursuing it further (they didn’t offer to cancel my contract so currently paying for 2 gym memberships). So just warning to any gay/lesbian/trans people in the local area to avoid this place in the interests of your own safety. Fitness First is just up the road and is a much more inclusive and welcoming place.

  No stair master; need to sort out the women's steam room; there's no steam. It's always breaking down. Wandsworth is much better

  I am a member of the virgin active gym in bromley. Sometimes is closer for me to come to the streatham one though and so I visited today with my partner and first thing as we entered my partner was getting extremely bad screws from Guido at reception, he gave extremely bad attitude and behaviour towards him, such a rude person, arrogant. Us virgin active members we pay 100£+ on memberships the minimum they can do for us is at least be kind, polite. Me and my partner was extremely upset with how we was treated. The gym itself is so so good, we have never had any problems with the staff before. So when it actually happened today with Guido we were so shocked and upset at the same time.
