  gave this gym a try and it was actually a great decision. they have a swimming pool you can use.. clean equipment which is a big plus.. and their employees are kind chaps. thanks for a wonderful experience

  Zaheer, Zain & King frequently give me excellent level of customer service. They were very kind, respectful and overall friendly. They’re a credit to the Virgin Active team and I hope other staff can follow their steps.

  Haven’t been too the gym in a while was nervous about starting back spoke to a young lady called Mel and she made me feel much more at ease with starting my gym journey again even recommended quieter times to go that fit my schedule as she clearly understood I was nervous too start back up and fit everything around my routine will definitely be back hopefully Mel’s there too🥹

  I joined in the summer and was generously given a credit through work that I could use for personal training sessions. I worked with Marc Ellis and I can say that he has healed my relationship with the gym floor and confidence using weights/machinery. Very approachable, no question is too silly to ask and he pushes you beyond your limitations in a firm but kind way. The gym floor doesn't intimidate me anymore and I can now use the floor without feeling overwhelmed or unsure of equipment. Would definitely recommend if you are thinking of adding PT Sessions to your VA gym membership. Thanks Marc!

  As a very long term member of Virgin Active (from when it was called Holmes place!) I am reluctantly stopping my membership due to a 26% increase in cost. I have enjoyed the excellent instructors and the good facilities but I am shocked by the management and customer service. When I called to inquire about the enormous increase, I was told that it was due to investment in facilities. Not at Virgin Active Clapham, mind you! Presumably at other clubs!?A couple of years ago, another enormous jump was supposedly needed to harmonise all memberships - and then Virgin Active management proceeded to fire all front desk staff, impose terrible copyright free music, etc. and we experienced repeated class cancellations throughout the year. I stuck it out and it did get better in the end. However, with many excellent instructors having left, the sudden, second massive price jump in a few year and callous customer service on the phone, I am out!
