Awesome Health Club, free Yoga, Reformer Classes, excellent value for money. Parking is plenty after 5:30pm Mon to Friday and all weekends and bank holidays, in the over-flow-parking within the business park...highly recommend it, the new refurb is outstanding -- well done to the management!

After 18 years as a Virgin Active member, I have cancelled. My off-peak fee of £84.50 was due to rise to £159.85—an 89% increase, following a 13% increase last year. When I questioned this, I was offered £121.50 for one year, still a 44% increase, without an answer to my question.
The club manager eventually explained that off-peak membership had been abolished and Chiswick Park moved to a more expensive tier.
The refurbishment may suit some members, but machines I used have been removed, there is less duplication of popular equipment, and the weight machines and free weights areas are frequently crowded even off-peak. I often have to do my workout in a random order while waiting.
No meaningful recognition of customer loyalty—just an unaffordable price increase. Longstanding off-peak members have simply been priced out.

Really disappointed with Virgin Active. I chose a 12-month membership specifically because they advertise a car park, as driving is the only realistic way for me to get there. Yet the car park is almost never available, meaning I regularly miss the group classes I’ve paid for.
Reformer classes are also almost impossible to book due to the lack of availability.
They also advertise that you can work from the club, but the car park has a 3-hour maximum stay, which makes that pretty pointless if you’re driving.
For the price of the membership, I expected much better. I genuinely regret signing up for 12 months.

Been a Virgin Active member for a few years, and I’ve been using Chiswick Park for the past year. For what is supposed to be a premium gym, and at around £150 a month, the standard is genuinely embarrassing.
The club is a mess. I cancelled my membership as is NOT WORTH the visit.
Changing rooms: towels are constantly thrown all over the place, to the point where they seem to have become part of the décor.
Showers: half of them seem to be broken at any given time. Shower gel is frequently empty, and some of the dispensers simply do not work.
Weights area: finding the dumbbell you actually need is basically a game of hide and seek. You can spend more time searching for weights than using them.
Cleanliness: dust everywhere. This does not feel like a club that is being properly cleaned or maintained.
Cleaning stations: apparently you can have paper towels or disinfectant, but rarely both in the same place. Cue wandering around the gym trying to assemble your own cleaning kit.
Staff: easily the least welcoming and most self-absorbed team I’ve experienced at any Virgin Active. There seems to be very little interest in actually engaging with members. They should be sent to Strand for some lessons.
Air conditioning: the cardio area can become unbearably hot. On several occasions I’ve asked for the air conditioning to be turned on, been told someone has been radioed, and later discovered that the person responsible was not even working that day. Why pretend something is being dealt with when it clearly is not?
Products: many Virgin Active clubs use Molton Brown. Chiswick Park appears to have gone for something closer to the soap you see in the toilets at Paddington Station (which are cleaner than VA Chiswick Park).
And that really sums it up. If you charge premium prices, people quite reasonably expect a premium experience. At the moment, Chiswick Park feels less like a £150-a-month health club and more like a gym that has simply stopped caring.
The location is fantastic, and the club has enormous potential, which somehow makes the current standard even more frustrating. Virgin Active can, and absolutely should, do better.

I just wanted to recognise Bash at reception for the fantastic job he does. Every time I come to the gym, he’s there with a genuine smile and such a warm, welcoming attitude. He’s always professional, friendly, and goes above and beyond to help.
Bash makes every visit a more enjoyable experience and is a real credit to Virgin Active. Thank you for always making members feel so welcome, your kindness and positivity never go unnoticed!
