    Requested verbal cancellation of my membership. Due to internal miscommunication, the gym’s system registered the following month as the final billing date rather than cancelling immediately. Since we’d already ended payment, this showed as an unpaid balance and they blocked our account. For the past month, we’ve been trying to resolve this simple administrative error. Instead of fixing their mistake, they’ve kept the account blocked and blamed us for not providing written confirmation of a verbal cancellation (we were continually informed the issue will get resolved the following week instead of where the real clog stands). The manager blames his internal team member. :/ Poor communication internally, very bad customer service, zero accountability, and an aggressive response (blocking the account) instead of actually resolving the issue, for an entire month. Don’t recommend.

    Mr. Ravi is an excellent gym trainer. He explains everything in a very clear and nice way. He is friendly, professional, and highly knowledgeable. I really like his training style and the way he motivates and guides me during workouts. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an expert and supportive trainer.

    Edit: pure example that people now read but do not understand. I tell them, they do not reply to emails and their response is: contact the club :D how? They cancel classes and do not provide any cover. Once you've signed the contract, don't bother asking anything, as they stop caring (i do not understand how can you ignore client's emails). I signed up to go to reformer classes, and they are limiting them e.g. Friday afternoon class, it has been cancelled for a month. Most of the classes are during the day, so it's difficult to attend if you work full-time. I regret signing up, it's not worth it. And the funniest part, they organise classes in the common areas so their instructors tell you to leave the machine.

    Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding my experience attempting to join Virgin Active Chiswick Park. Since mid-May, I have been in contact with your team with the intention of becoming a member. During this period, I have received numerous promotional offers and membership quotations. However, when I attempted to proceed with membership, I was repeatedly informed that the offers were no longer available, that the pricing had changed, or that the terms differed from what had previously been presented to me. This has been extremely frustrating and has left me feeling misled. The repeated communication and marketing messages created the expectation that specific offers were available, yet when I sought to take up those offers, they either could not be honoured or had been replaced with different pricing. My experience was particularly disappointing due to my interactions with Beheshta Tanin and Ayman Harir. Throughout the process, I was provided with multiple offers and membership quotations that later proved unavailable or were changed when I attempted to proceed. The information I received was inconsistent, and I felt that my genuine interest in becoming a member was not handled professionally.

    I really don't like the idea of writing a poor review, but my partner and I have had a bad experience this month with Virgin Active after a year and a half of totally fine, unproblematic membership. We discovered that we were being charged an additional direct debit from Virgin Active last month and searched through our bank statements to find that we had been wrongfully charged over £600(!!) over the course of 9 months. We reported it immediately and and were told it was a case of fraud from someone at another branch. We expect to be refunded the full amount from our bank, thank goodness. Where this gets disappointing is that I asked to have a call back to explain what happened and never received it. After several weeks, I filed an official complaint to ask for the answers we never got, and ask if there was anything they could do to ameliorate the situation (perhaps comp us one month of membership?). While they were apologetic, they said they didn't know how the fraud happened and that the situation didn't warrant any compensation. We had to discover the fraud and deal with it ourselves and didn't even receive a email from anyone acknowledging it happened or that they had a handle on the situation until we pushed. Just feel a bit taken for granted. So we can't in good faith recommend this company to anyone, and we're looking into other gyms in the area. Pretty bad corporate practice to not take care of these things more emphatically. Second star is because the gym is perfectly fine itself and the staff are always nice. Everyone check your bank statements! x
