Some have jokey “It’s my rest day” signs on them, but after weeks of no progress, it is no longer funny. It just looks unprofessional and poorly managed. Very disappointing.

- HDHelen DickinsonMay 6, 20261.0Poor customer service. I have been a member of Virgin for about 6 years and take a PT package so pay them over £700 per month. I wanted to query my renewal notice. Called customer service. They couldn't help as it the weekend but promised a call back. That was 3 weeks ago. Heard nothing. 2 weeks ago I wrote. Got a reference number and an automated reply with a promise to revert in 1 to 3 working days. Still waiting. So I tried to get my local gym team to help which they couldn't (no surprise as I tried that before calling customer services in the first place) but they later did reconfirm the renewal amount by email. So I asked them to cancel membership with a query on how many PT sessions I had left. They cancelled my membership within 5 minutes of my email. But despite two chasers don't seem able to answer a simple question ahoy PT sessions. I am lucky I live in central London so easily find alternatives but very disappointing from such a strong brand which seems to generally have good reviews here.
