As others have mentioned, the changing facilities are filthy. But that's not the main issues here. We've booked a family fun slot thinking it was going to be in the areas heavily advertised on there website where there slides and looks like a water park. Little did we know that wasn't it as it was the leisure pool and not the main pool. This was not clarified during the booking process as I mentioned to a number of members of staff, which they gave us a number of different answers as what to book to access that area that is supposedly on the main pool. As a first time comer I found very little info on their website and conflicting information given by staff. In all an extremely poor experience where management did not even try to apologise or trying to understand our frustration threatening to kick us out instead. Do yourself a favour dear management team and staff, review your website info, incluse pictures of the pool and descriptions of the activities. Also book yourself a thorough hospitality course and your lack of manners is shocking. Never again

Un bassin moyennement propre , l'odeur n'est pas agréable. Peu ou pas de gens se douchent avant d'entrer dans l'eau....

Mix feelings. So plucked up the courage to take swimming lessons at 62yrs. Welcoming greetings last week Thursday at reception, whiched help calm my nerves down. I got to changing area it smelt awful. However had no choice had to work with it.(today I am taking dettol wipes) My lesson, I enjoyed, but felt slightly overwhelmed, nothing was really explained eg time frame, amount of lessons, what would be the next step, to progress to. As a retired NHS worker, no well being checks were done. Was not sure which lane was swimming lesson lane, then go anxious when a good swimmer was in the lane the small group was told to use( felt like there should be another pool for beginners like myself, that would be wishful thinking ) swimming instructor was very encouraging, I really did not like the set up of lockers , shower cubicle and cubicle to get change in. So I had to spend more money for me to adapt with what is there and to feel safe. Now the website, should be looked at, the cost of different membership should be listed or what is included in your current membership. Do you get a tiny discount for instance i want to be able to use the gym also but what i am paying for is just swimming lessons, I dont believe 1 swimming lesson a week is enough for me as a group session. Do you offer one to one, if yes that cost should be on website. I do agree swim area is child and family, friendly. Not convinced friendly for mature adults who want to learn to swim, Today I will embrace my 2nd lesson

I visited Latchmere Leisure Centre with 4 young children for a swimming session. This was my first time here. The car park has a very prominent sign at the entrance saying “3 Hours Maximum Stay”, but the requirement to “ENTER YOUR REGISTRATION ON ARRIVAL” is in very small print on a separate board and is easy to miss. I forgot to register when I arrived and only did it after the session on the way out at around 15:40. I did not exceed the 3-hour limit. Despite this, I received a £60 parking charge from MET Parking Services and my appeal was rejected. It would be much fairer if the centre added an option to register your car when booking the swimming session online, or made the signage clearer at the entrance with an instruction to register upon arrival, to protect customers from fines.

I use the swimming pool in the summer as there is little alternative in the area but this is a bad experience overall. In the afternoon (possibly after some kids session) the changing area smells like a urinal everywhere, the actual toilet inside the changing room is further beyond unthinkable. You're not advised to draw any breath in there. I saw the cleaner at work from time to time however the hygiene condition of the changing area doesn't seem to reflect any work being effective. The showers are ALWAYS filled with little moths on the walls staring at you while you are struggling with the tiny water flow and constantly having to press the button to even keep the tiny water flow. The staff in the pool can be rude and seem to pick who they decide to pick on, usually they pick on seemingly quiet females and avoid challenging aggressive looking or loud trouble makers instead. They will order girls to get out of the fast lane even when some guys just chilling in the fast lane not even moving, stating "you're not fast enough". Interesting targeting I must say. There are always things broken throughout the facility - the entrance door don't read, some showers don't work unless you have a spare hand constantly pressed on the button, the hair dryer doesn't work or the pipe drops off etc etc etc. This is a public facility so I understand it doesn't get the membership fees as high as some other gyms do, but it does charge a rate only at a small discount compared to the market and also council funding. To be at this state of unhygienic and below par service is unacceptable and management can do with a shake up to improve their service. Some other leisure centres are run with a much higher standard.
