Normally doesn't write reviews, but wanted to point out that Anastassia was amazing during our visit to David Lloyd Kensington! She was really helpful, super knowledgeable, and took the time to walk us through everything in detail. You can tell she really cares about giving people a great experience. Special thanks.

I was a member of David Lloyd Kensington for four years, so I feel I have enough experience to give an honest review.
Overall, I find the club **quite disappointing for a gym that positions itself as premium**. In my opinion, the only truly premium things are the **price and the location**. If it were not in Kensington, I doubt it would attract anywhere near the same number of members.
The gym itself is fairly average and often feels overcrowded. There always seems to be something that needs fixing — toilets, showers, lifts, lockers, etc. The toilets also frequently have an unpleasant smell.
The towel system is another strange detail. Towels are handed out at reception, while the swimming pool is on level -3. If you go down to the pool and realise you forgot your towel, you have to walk all the way back up to reception. It would seem much more practical to have towels available by the pool.
My personal ratings:
* **Location: 9–10/10**
* **Staff: 7/10**
* **Equipment: 5/10**
* **Cleanliness: 4/10**
* **Overall experience: 5/10**
* **Value for money: 4/10**
The staff are generally friendly and helpful, so that is a positive. But the overall facilities and level of service simply don't feel consistent with the premium price.
One other thing worth knowing: if you move away and want to cancel your membership, the **three-month notice period** can be particularly frustrating. Paying for three additional months when you are no longer using the club feels excessive.
After four years, my conclusion is fairly simple: **the location is the main reason to be a member here.** If location is not your priority, I think there are much better options in London for the money.

I had such a fantastic experience joining David Lloyd Kensington, and I have to give a special mention to Malika, who was absolutely amazing from start to finish.
She genuinely went above and beyond to help me with my membership, taking the time to explain everything clearly, answer all of my questions and make sure I felt completely comfortable and confident with my decision. She was incredibly welcoming, professional, patient and personable nothing felt rushed or like too much trouble.
It’s rare to receive such genuinely attentive customer service, and Malika made the whole experience of joining feel effortless and exciting. She is a real credit to the David Lloyd Kensington team.
Thank you so much, Malika! I’m really looking forward to starting my membership.

I had a fantastic experience with Melika at David Lloyd. She was absolutely brilliant from start to finish — professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive to what I was looking for.
Melika made the whole process incredibly easy and enjoyable. She took the time to answer all my questions, explained everything clearly, and never made me feel pressured. Her enthusiasm and excellent customer service really stood out.
It’s rare to come across someone who combines professionalism with such a warm and welcoming personality. Melika is a real asset to David Lloyd, and I would happily recommend speaking to her if you’re considering joining the club.
Thank you, Melika, for making such a great impression! 👏

I visited David Lloyd Kensington on August 6th to attend the 19:40 SPIRIT Sound Bath class with Miranda Hazrati, alongside two friends. What should have been a relaxing session was completely ruined before it even began.
Miranda publicly questioned my age (I am a 28 year old woman) and told us that children are not allowed. After I answered, she turned to my friends and remarked, "I don't think this is allowed." Being singled out and forced to justify my presence in front of the entire room was deeply disrespectful and humiliating.
We also explained to Miranda that the receptionist had booked our guest passes for the class under staff names because the system couldn't input ours. Regardless of the front desk's administrative setup, being treated this way turned what was meant to be a spiritual experience into the most stressful class I've ever attended. I certainly won't be considering a membership here.
