Wonderful service. I came to have my glasses fixed when I hadn’t before purchased glasses from David Clulow. Iksha was very helpful and I was expecting for them to charge me but they didn’t. It was a very nice surprise

Lovely and kind staffs. I give them 10 out of 10 which is a masterpiece! Wahida was so nice to me the best!
Fantastically professional, helpful and swift service, especially from Catherine who assisted with a spectacle repair. Much appreciated.
Very disappointing experience at David Clulow Canary Wharf.
After travelling for an hour, I was only five minutes late, but staff refused to carry out my eye test, despite the next appointment being 25 minutes later. My entire two-hour journey was wasted over a five-minute delay.
Very disappointing customer service.
I later observed that the next customer’s eye test lasted around 40 minutes, despite appointments being scheduled 30 minutes apart. Apparently, running over time is acceptable, but arriving 5 minutes late isn’t. Where’s the consistency?
I recently visited David Clulow in Canary Wharf for an eye test after hearing good things about them. I’ve had eye tests at other opticians before, and overall the experience here started very positively. The staff were friendly and helpful when I was choosing frames, and the optometrist was very thorough, taking the time to explain each part of the examination and the results.
Unfortunately, my prescription had increased slightly, so I needed new lenses. My prescription is only around -0.75 for distance, so we were quite taken aback when we sat down afterwards and the first lenses recommended to us were around £300 — more expensive than the frames themselves.
When we asked what other options were available, we were then shown the standard lenses and the different price points. I appreciate that there are premium lenses with additional features and benefits, but I would have preferred to be presented with the full range of options from the beginning and have the differences clearly explained, rather than starting with one of the most expensive options.
Everything else about the appointment was genuinely good, but the lens consultation unfortunately left us feeling as though we were being heavily upsold. For a relatively mild prescription, being initially presented with lenses costing around £300 was quite a shock and took away from what had otherwise been a very positive experience.
