  I placed an order for glasses on Friday and was advised they would be ready by Wednesday. I visited the store today (Thursday), having taken the day off work and explained the importance of collecting them due to personal circumstances. Initially, Sahil informed me that the glasses were not ready followed by asking me to return in around an hour whilst he finds out on the status of them (if they’re still being made). I came back approximately 90 minutes later, only to be told that someone had apparently collected my glasses on Tuesday. The store was unable to explain how this had happened and advised that they would need to make me a completely new pair. After waiting a further 10 minutes while staff continued serving other customers, I requested a refund as I no longer had confidence in the service and would rather take my business elsewhere. I was then told I would need to wait while they investigated how the error had occurred before they could process the refund. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with both the handling of my order and the customer service I received. I am now over £550 out of pocket, without the glasses I urgently needed, and have been forced to order another pair elsewhere at additional cost because I require them within the next day. Mistakes can happen, but the lack of accountability, communication, and urgency in resolving the situation has been unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this store.

  There is a good selection of brands and eyewear, and the eye tests themselves are professional overall. However, the service from the staff is disappointing, disrespectful, and highly unprofessional. I received prescription sunglasses that were incorrect, and instead of remaking them or offering proper compensation for the inconvenience, I was simply offered a refund. There was no sense of accountability or concern about losing a loyal customer. I have purchased seven pairs over the past two years, yet I will not return—solely because of the poor and unprofessional service from the staff. This level of service is truly disappointing and not what I would expect from Selfridges.

  Rupy has been extremely helpful with my shopping experience. She has helped me pick out my first set of glasses and managed to facilitate my prescription lens within a week’s time. Thank you Rupy, my sincerest commendation to you. I suggest everyone that if someone has any issues just go and ask to Rupy regarding glasses she will be so helpful and kind.

  If I could give this company less stars I would. Tried to book an eye test appointment and spoke to a female member of staff today who said they prefer paying customers who pay £40 as opposed to NHS ones. That it would be better off if we went to another branch on the high street than them. Discriminatory and they have some nerve. I have sent complaints to both Selfridges and David Clulow. Disgraceful.
