They really need to work on their online booking system - complete inconsistency between what we book and what they see on their end. Poor customer service to say to someone your appointment has been changed with no prior notification of this.

A good experience overall. There is a great range of frames to choose from and the pricing is very competitive. My glasses took a little longer than originally estimated to be ready, but the staff kept me informed and the final product was excellent. Happy with the service and would recommend.

My recent visit to Specsavers Edgware was extremely disappointing and not an experience I would want to repeat. Although I arrived only a few minutes late after mistakenly going to the wrong branch, I was surprised by how small and overcrowded the store felt. The reception area consisted of a tiny podium near the entrance where personal questions were being asked within earshot of other customers, which felt uncomfortable and lacked privacy. The waiting area was also very small and reminded me of an A&E waiting room due to how busy and cramped it was. I was called quickly for the pre-assessment, but after that I was sent back to the waiting area and left waiting for approximately 15–20 minutes. By 12:35, despite having a 12:10 eye test appointment, I had received no update and had to approach a member of staff myself to ask what was happening. As I did so, I was finally called in for my eye test. The optometrist was friendly and professional, but the appointment felt rushed due to the volume of customers in the store. As a result, I did not leave feeling fully confident that my eyes had been thoroughly tested. After the examination, I briefly looked at the glasses on display but had already decided that I only wanted to purchase the eye test and obtain my prescription. However, I then had to wait another 5–10 minutes at the front desk simply to pay and leave. Most staff members appeared fully occupied with other customers and were not acknowledging those waiting. Eventually, a staff member named Guv assisted me. She was helpful, apologetic and efficient, and I appreciated her customer service. Unfortunately, despite the professionalism of the optometrist and Guv, the overall experience was poor due to the cramped environment, lack of privacy, long waits, overcrowding and feeling rushed throughout the appointment. I will not be returning to this branch and, based on this experience, would be reluctant to visit Specsavers again

Five stars. I went in for new glasses and a hearing check, and the whole visit was calm, tidy and properly organised. The staff were patient, explained everything clearly, and helped me choose frames that actually suit me. Lovely service from start to finish.

Used to have excellent experiences at Specsavers for years, but sadly the service has gone downhill since 2025. The staff are still very friendly and polite, however the organisation and waiting times are now very poor. I waited a long time for my booked appointment and ended up leaving without ordering glasses because the service was so slow. When I returned months later just to order glasses, it was the same experience again. I repeatedly saw customers who arrived after me being attended to first. I don’t mind waiting if the store is busy, but the whole process felt very chaotic. I was later told by phone that my glasses would be delayed, which was fine, but after another week with no update I had to chase them myself, only to be told they still needed to contact the lab and did not know when they would arrive. Really disappointing because this branch used to be so efficient and reliable.
