  Leaving a public review as my multiple attempts to contact management at the Bromley club have been completely ignored. I have requested to speak with a manager 5 times in person, called 5 times, and sent 10 emails (including to the Customer Service Manager) - none of which have received a response. Prior to joining, I was explicitly assured during my initial tour that the gym had excellent air conditioning and stayed cool year-round. I have now been informed by staff that there is actually no air conditioning in the gym area, meaning the temperature cannot be controlled during hot weather. As a direct result, I have been unable to use the facilities throughout the summer months. Misleading information regarding core facilities prior to sign-up constitutes a breach of contract. Given the complete lack of communication, I expect a manager to contact me directly to resolve this issue and discuss my membership, before I am forced to escalate this matter legally. Addition 27/08/26: emailed as Virgin response requested below and have had no reply in 2 weeks, what do I need to do to get a manager to call me?!!!!

  We enjoy the swimming facilities here, but the changing room layout is a major issue for families. Currently, my husband has to take our young daughter into the men’s changing room to use the private cubicle. This means our daughter has to walk past multiple adult men changing, just to get to a private space. It is uncomfortable for her, my husband and the other patrons. The management needs to invest in a separate family changing room outside of the main gendered areas. This simple addition would make the facility much more welcoming, safe, and comfortable for parents swimming with children.

  Generally, I like this gym. Is better equipped than most of the other VAs and the classes are great. However, it’s sometimes unclean and in the summer it’s been unbearably hot in the upstairs gym. Considering how much they charge you would think they’d be able to regulate the temperature in the upstairs area. For anyone looking to gym over summer, I’d recommend going to literally any other gym possible - unless you like working out in a sauna.

  Love going to Virgin Active, all the staff are friendly and professional. I always feel great when leaving after a good workout.
