The eye test was very quick and very well conducted we were given advice on choosing glasses as the ones my daughter chose in the children's range were too small so she had to get an adult slim frame, the gentleman we had found some as close to the ones she chose as possible. Glasses were ready in under a week

I recently visited this store for a standard eye test, but my experience was very disappointing. It was clear that they are only interested in customers who buy glasses directly from them. As soon as they realized I only wanted my prescription and did not intend to purchase frames on the same day, the staff's attitude completely changed. They became cold, pushy, and quite unwelcoming. Under UK law, customers have the right to take their prescription elsewhere. I strongly recommend avoiding this branch if you only need an eye test, as you will not be treated like a valued customer.

My wife and I had appointments at 12:00 PM, and we brought our 2-year-old son. Before even starting the eye test, the staff heavily pressured us to buy glasses. When my wife finished her test and politely informed them she didn't need frames, their attitude changed completely. The female employee rudely told me to wait outside the premises for my turn just because we weren't buying products. I immediately canceled my own test, paid for my wife's, and left. To make things worse, they charged us £30 instead of the agreed £25 price (£20 + £5). Absolutely unacceptable customer service that only cares about you if you spend money. Disgusting behavior.

Really positive experience at Specsavers Bromley today. My appointment was at 1:35pm and I was seen quickly. There was a short wait before my second test, and as time was getting on (I needed to collect my kids from school by 3pm), Stan kindly spoke to the opticians for me and made sure I was seen next — really appreciated that. My eye test was done by Abdul, a student, who was brilliant and explained everything in detail — he came across as experienced as any qualified optician. Upstairs, I was seen straight away to choose my glasses, and Irfan helped with my order. Everyone was friendly and efficient. Thanks so much to Stan, Abdul, and Irfan for the great service — looking forward to collecting my new glasses!

I want to share my very disappointing experience with the Bromley Specsavers store. I have been using the West Wickham Specsavers for years without any issues, but because they didn' have avaiable date for tests for me and my daughter, I decided to try the Bromley branch instead. Honestly, it was a big mistake. We visited at the beginning of May. The store was extremely busy and felt very chaotic. Although the staff seemed to be managing, both my daughter and I felt rushed throughout the appointment, including during the optician’s explanations. At the time, I tried to excuse it because it was clearly a busy day, but unfortunately that was only the beginning of the problems. I ordered one pair of glasses for my daughter and two pairs for myself. After waiting the expected amount of time, I collected them a few days after receiving the message that they were ready. Again, the collection process felt rushed by staff. When I got home, I realised that one of my two pairs of glasses did not have the coating that I specifically ordered and paid for. This meant another unnecessary trip back to the store, which is very inconvenient as I do not live nearby. Luckily the store was quieter when I returned, but I still do not think the situation was handled properly considering this was a serious mistake on their side. They had to reorder the lenses, meaning I now have to travel there AGAIN and wait around for an hour while they fix the glasses. I understand that mistakes can happen, but what matters is how a company deals with them. Unfortunately, the customer service I received there was very poor. The staff member dealing with me showed very little empathy, and the apologies felt forced rather than genuine. While I was explaining how inconvenient and frustrating the whole situation had been, another staff member sitting nearby gave me a look as if she wanted me to stop talking and just be quiet. I found that extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. Overall, this has been a very bad experience with poor customer service throughout. I told them I would leave a review and contact head office, but the reaction I got felt very much like, “Do what you want, we don’t care.” A good company is judged by how it handles mistakes and problems, and unfortunately Bromley Specsavers completely failed in this case. I just hope I will vet my glasses sorted finally the way they should be and I don't feel there again the way I felt today.
