  Waiting for Sky to be fixed. This has been an ongoing issue for over a year. Fixed then broken again. Frustrating.

  Been a member for 16 years. Consistently (over those years) getting through to reception take a long time. Today I was on hold for 10 minutes without speaking to a person. I hung up and called back selecting option 2 to get through to (new members). The call was picked up (including the answer machine message about me going to the app instead of bothering them) in 40 seconds! Isn’t is disappointing that big corporate will never change. Perhaps some at Leeds DL will reach out and let me know why my money for the last 16 years isn’t as valuable as the new members…

  Had a fab meeting with Emily who showed us around the centre. Emily was very informative and not pushy whatsoever. We signed up on the day. The subscription is a great price for our family of 4 and look forward to using the facilities!

  I was genuinely very disappointed and frustrated by my experience when I asked to temporarily freeze my membership due to personal circumstances. I was told that I would need to provide supporting evidence, including potentially medical documentation, in order to justify why I wanted to pause my membership. I found this extremely intrusive and completely disproportionate for a gym membership. What upset me most was the feeling that I had to explain and prove my personal circumstances just to temporarily stop using a service that I am paying a significant amount of money for. David Lloyd is one of the most expensive gyms in Leeds, and as a paying member I would expect a much more flexible, respectful and customer-focused approach. The frustrating part is that I actually liked the club itself and was generally happy with the facilities. Unfortunately, this experience with the membership policy and the way the situation was handled has left a very unpleasant impression. Customers should not be made to feel as though they owe the gym an explanation for private personal circumstances, especially when simply asking to pause their membership. Being asked to provide evidence felt invasive, unnecessary and completely out of proportion. A premium-priced club should also provide a premium level of customer service and flexibility. Sadly, this experience made me feel like the opposite.
