I have always used Specsavers since I was a young child, for the simple reason that my experience has always been good, the staff are always friendly and explain things in enough detail that I have a good understanding of my eye health and any always answer questions about any concerns I might have. The dispensary team have been good in guiding me to the selection of glasses I am able to pick, due to my complex lens I have a limited selection, and the team are quick to work with this and understand the restrictions and give good advice on what frames are available. They also talked me through all the options for extras, including costs and benefits and trade-offs. They even pointed out a refund I was due, after an NHS voucher was not applied to my total, this was quickly refunded without any issues. I was later called to explain that an option I have chosen was not available for me lens type (transition lens with ultra thinning), and adjustment was made to my order, handled very well and politely and professionally.

Management standards are completely sub standard, their Floor staff are quite happy to tell you at the agreed appointment to collect your glasses, that they're not ready for you and to come back another time. It's just the simple things that they need to get a grip on. Like having both pairs of glasses ready, excuses like equipment not available because there is a meeting in the room where the glasses are constructed and they can't get in there. Also small things like greasy finger prints on the glasses when handed to you. As if it doesn't matter that you just spent £500+ with them. All the glasses on the displays need cleaning too. Weak management that hides away. and doesn't care about customer service. Just ask to see the manager and things magically happen!
