  I had an eye test booked and once done (in 15 minutes), it took 45 minutes to get signed out! Absolutely horrible service, was not told how long the wait would take.

  Completely love this store. Wish that vision express had a more fruity line of glasses or small batch type products or locally designed ones just a little bit more unique then their current spread. I appreciate not everyone really wants to wear a bright green pair of acetate unusually shaped specs but it would be a really welcome addition. That aside I’ve had my eyes tested here a number of times inclusive of when I wasn’t due a test but wanted to discuss and get comfort on double vision. At that point I was given reassurances and gel to try and I wasn’t treated as an inconvenience for coming in. Most recently I had another eye test which was over due and although it was over due there was no shaming no blaming and no making me uncomfortable they were just so polite and patient with me. Both the front of house and the optician were really nice people who took their time to hear my extensive health problems which I feared had an impact on my sight. Thankfully I did go and get checked because I had had a big loss in one of my eyes. The team were running on time , had a vast selection, had better availability then westwood. Also that they are more prompt here in Westgate then Westwood Cross and I was in and out in about 40 mins or less. There was NO pressure at all at the end when I was offered to take a look around at their selection and I was given dignity and understanding when I said sorry, I hope you don’t mind but I’m going to ask another place I’ve used for years to make me glasses more aligned to my style. A Where we live we have limited options to buy more unusual glasses so going online is great , but you do need a valid prescription to do that. It’s also great to know that they are not going to make you awkward if you choose to go elsewhere , which I appreciate too from an affordability and accessibility perspective. There are lots of places now online which cater to lower budgets which means that no matter what you have to spend you should be able to buy glasses that are correct as per your prescription. Honestly 5/5 free parking right outside , on time, lovely staff and today with my tail between my legs because I lost my prescription. They gave me no hassle and offered to email it over to me FOC!   Excellent! The ladies were both polite, empathetic, and highly professional at their jobs. I would highly recommend Vision Express at Westgate on Sea to anyone! Part of my job ( before retiring) was to performance manage staff. I would have been delighted to have these ladies on my team . Faultless , what more can I say!
