  Exceeded all expectations! Even though the club is incredibly busy, the service and standards remain flawless. The facilities are immaculate, and the staff are always welcoming. Fern and Emily in particular are fantastic—they always make you feel welcome and make every visit a joy. Highly recommend!

  We recently visited David Lloyd Herne Bay with a view to joining. We were shown round by Bea who was very knowledgeable, could answer all our questions and understood our needs and family dynamics so could give us lots of relative information.

  A really lovely facility with lots of class options but general cleanliness varies. The pools could be cleaner both inside and out with greater attention to cleaning up hair on the poolside and in the changing rooms and showers. The yoga and pilates and meditation classes are fantastic but again the floor isn’t cleaned properly with copious hair that gets stuck all over you and the mat which is a real shame. If you are joining as a family be aware that for children between the ages of 12-14 options are very limited. They are too old to access the kids clubs, swimming lessons and there are no tennis groups available for them. The classes that they can access are also for children from the age of 8 which means they are exercising with primary aged children and quite oversubscribed. This age group are also too young to use the gym unsupervised so it can limit the whole experience for the family. A more thoughtful offering including teen yoga and more rebel battlebox sessions would be good to see.

  I got shown around and sorted out my membership with holly and was an amazing experience! She gave me so much details and was so knowledgeable clearly about everything she showed but also I had such a warm reception and had a good laugh with her whilst being shown around and sorting out my membership which made me feel so welcomed to the club! Honestly I couldn’t of asked for a better experience whilst signing up and making sure I made the right decision joining as I’m using this space to do work and relax as well as using the gym and classes so knowing the staff are so lovely and inviting like holly was the best first impression I could get and have only heard other amazing things from friends and family who also go about the facility and staff like holly

  10/09/2026. Man arrested in the spa for defending himself verbally against 2 people abusing him, then he was arrested. Not fair. I am concerned for the guy who was arrested. I saw the whole thing from the start. He did not deserve that. Staff obviously need a lot more training. Very incompetent! This man done nothing wrong. A female approached him for having his mobile phone in the spa. She was shouting at him saying he is not allowed a phone in the spa area. He did politely ask her to leave him alone, because she was invading his personal space. But she was obviously very irate and continued to give him a lecture. The man ended up diffusing it himself, but then another man came over and thought he was verbally abusing the woman, without realising that he was only defending himself. He tried to explain to the man that she came over and started on him, but the man was being intimidating and waving his arms about. Then it kind of erupted slightly on both sides. Then multiple members of staff came, and prematurely assumed the guy who was actually defending himself was the perpetrator, with no investigation or prior evidence. He was trying to explain to them that they are confused, but they ignored him, and carried on asking him to leave. But this was not the guy that started it, so he shouldn't have been asked to leave. He was only sticking up for himself. It was not his fault. He tried his best, but he was let down by the staff. And then yes, he did become very upset, with the staff understandably, which i think at this point he let himself down. Then he was arrested. I have lost trust in the way the staff handled this.
