I had a great experience at David Lloyd thanks to Lottie, she went out of her way to make my visit a positive one. Lottie gave us our Spa Induction when the club opened and since then whenever I see her she is always welcoming and friendly, it is staff like Lottie that make visits to the club so enjoyable, she is a credit to the team - thank you!

Super club, one of the best I have visited and experienced. Facilities throughout are excellent, gym, pool and spa I use regular are class. Club Room has a great friendly relaxed feel and service is really on point. Team members are friendly, always on their game and on hand and willing to help and answer any questions. What more could you want!?

I recently visited David Lloyd Herne and had an amazing experience. The club has a lovely atmosphere, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and everything was spotless and very well maintained. From the moment I arrived, I felt comfortable and looked after. Without a doubt, this has to be in my top three David Lloyd clubs in the country. The car park is huge, yet it was still very busy, which is no surprise given how fantastic this club is. If I had one suggestion, it would be to expand the car park even further, as the club is clearly very popular and additional parking would make the experience even better. If I’m ever passing by the area again, I will definitely visit. I highly recommend this club to anyone looking for a first-class health and fitness experience Highly recommended!

Gutted but going to have to cancel my membership as i cant get parked. I dont get to use the facilities often for what i pay, but when i do go, i do expect to be able to park. However most of the time now when i go im grabbing the last space, or for the first time today i have had to turn around and come home. This is not okay and is ever since they started offering the 3 month memberships and reduced tiers to take up the parking spaces all day for people to sunbathe. Still showing people around and taking on new members. This unfortunately has made up my mind that i will have to cancel as this is completely unacceptable. The facilities are lovely & i love the spa but this is not worth it for me. I signed up for 12 months and i do expect to be able to cancel as they cannot offer the service i am paying for.

I have been a David Lloyd member for just over 10 years and have always enjoyed a high standard of service across the clubs I have attended. Due to relocation, I recently joined the Herne Bay club. •Firstly, I want to make it clear that the facilities themselves are outstanding. The newly built club is modern, clean, and well maintained. I genuinely have nothing negative to say about the facilities, which are easily 10/10. Unfortunately, my experience has been affected by concerns regarding the conduct of a member of staff working within the spa area. On multiple occasions, I have observed a long haired brunette member of staff, who appears to be in her late twenties or early thirties, behaving in a way that I personally do not consider appropriate for a professional workplace. I have witnessed her repeatedly touching and grabbing male members’ biceps while interacting with them, which I found uncomfortable to observe and not in keeping with the professional standards I expect from David Lloyd staff. If you do know this staff member, I have seen her drive off in a white Mercedes. I have also witnessed male members being allowed access to the spa facilities despite openly discussing in the sauna that they were not entitled to use them under their membership package. On more than one occasion, I overheard individuals boasting that a female spa colleague would let them in whenever they wanted, while also referring to her as a “tart”. Whether these claims were true or not, the fact that members felt comfortable making such comments raises concerns about professionalism, boundaries, and the enforcement of membership rules within the spa area. If certain members are being granted access to facilities they have not paid for, it is unfair to those who pay an additional premium for spa access and creates the impression of preferential treatment. As someone whose daughter works within the spa team at David Lloyd Finchley, I would not consider this acceptable professional conduct. David Lloyd has always presented itself as a premium brand with high standards, which is why these observations were disappointing. I would also like to raise concerns regarding the apparent lack of ethnic diversity throughout the workforce. From management positions through to cleaning staff, there appears to be very little representation of ethnic minority groups. In a diverse country and in 2026, I would expect a major organisation such as David Lloyd to demonstrate greater diversity across all levels of its workforce. The facilities are excellent, but I believe management should review these concerns if they wish to maintain the standards and reputation that long-standing David Lloyd members have come to expect.
