  I have been a loyal customer of Vision Express Westwood Cross for several years and was recently looking to book an eye test ahead of purchasing new glasses with transition lenses. After booking an appointment online, I received a phone call from a member of staff questioning why I had booked an eye test before my next routine recall date. While I understand the store's process may be to clarify appointments, I found the manner of the conversation discourteous and felt uncomfortable, challenged and embarrassed for simply trying to arrange an appointment. The experience left such a poor impression that I cancelled my appointment and have decided to take my business elsewhere. I raised a formal complaint and, although Vision Express apologised for how I felt and explained their process, I was disappointed that the focus seemed to be on defending the procedure rather than acknowledging the customer experience. It's a shame, as I had always been happy with the service previously. Unfortunately, this interaction has damaged my confidence in returning.

  Went in for a contact lense appointment and the man who was doing it was absolutely amazing. Was so attentive and really helped me when one of my contact lenses wouldn't go back in after having dye in my eyes.

  Bought an expensive pair of Oakley glasses following an eye test and returned a few years later as the lenses had fallen out. I expected to pay to have them put back in. The woman on reception said it could not be done so basically put them in the bin. Took them to Moores on Broadstairs high street and they were put back in within 6 minutes free of charge!! Will never use Vision Express again, disgraceful lazy customer service.

  Staff are so friendly and accommodating, but since the new refit it’s not as roomy, not easily accessible now for wheelchair users, took my grandsons there today both wheelchair users and struggled with them,
