  I had a very positive experience at Vision Express. The staff were welcoming, professional, and made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. The eye examination was thorough, and everything was explained clearly and patiently. I felt that they genuinely cared about my eye health rather than rushing the appointment. The clinic was clean, well-organized, and the whole process was efficient. I would definitely recommend Vision Express to anyone looking for high-quality eye care and excellent customer service.

  I went to this branch for my first eye test. Overall, the staff were polite. The girl who carried out the pre-screening tests was lovely and explained each test clearly which made me feel comfortable. However, I feel that communication among the rest of the staff could be improved. As this was my first eye test which I made clear from the start, I wasn’t familiar with the different parts of examination during the appointment with the optometrist. I would have appreciated the optometrist explaining what she was doing and what she was checking throughout the appointment. Instead, the appointment felt rushed and it seemed as though the focus was more on completing the examination/appointment than making sure I understood the process. Also, I was initially told at reception that the eye test would be £30, but I wasn’t asked whether I qualified for a free NHS eye test which I had to raise during my appointment. I do think staff should always ask whether customers may be eligible for an NHS funded eye test, as not everyone will know they qualify. At the end of my appointment, I was given eye drops and I had to double check with another member of staff that my eye test was free and that I was only paying for the OCT scan as I am aware this isn’t covered by the NHS. Furthermore, I wasn’t told the price of the eyedrops before paying and only found out after checking my receipt. A breakdown of the costs should clearly be explained before the customer knows exactly what they are being charged for. This shows the need for better communication and handovers between colleagues so that customers aren’t left having to clarify information themselves. I also felt that the optometrist could have been more engaging as it would have helped me feel more at ease, especially since it was my first eye test.

  I had an extremely disappointing experience here. I went in because I was experiencing blurry vision and pain in my eyes, but my concerns were completely dismissed. I was simply told that everything was fine without my symptoms being taken seriously.Afterwards, I submitted a formal complaint and requested a refund, but my email was ignored. The lack of customer service and communication has been appalling. It feels like they’re only interested in taking your money rather than providing proper care and the staff came across as uninterested and unwilling to help. Based on my experience, I would recommend going to another Vision Express branch or Specsavers instead. I would not recommend this location, I don’t know how they hire the optician there she was there just to get paid.
