  We have been family member for over a year, great facilities and especially since the upgrade. We just had our 4 year old Paw Patrol themed birthday party at David Lloyds, the staff were fantastic and highly recommend anyone looking to book for a birthday party, they took care of decorations, food, party bags and kids were well entertained with games.

  My family and I had the pleasure of being shown around by Sarah. She was so helpful, extremely knowledgeable and professional all with a lovely smile. She made us all feel so welcome and made me feel very confident and not once did I feel under pressure to make any decisions in moving forward with a membership. Thank you Sarah.

  We had a great experience touring David Lloyd Hatfield with Connor. He was incredibly helpful, friendly and thorough, and really went above and beyond to show us all aspects of the club and its facilities. He took the time to explain everything clearly, including the different membership options and any additional costs, which we really appreciated. We never felt rushed or pressured, and Connor was happy to answer all of our questions. He made the whole experience very welcoming and informative. Thank you, Connor, for such excellent service!

  Beware of theft and fraud at David Lloyd. After 14 years of on and off membership, I have watched the club make genuine strides in some areas, but security has taken a serious downturn. My locker was broken into twice within a month, once at Fulham and once at Hatfield, with my bank cards stolen and a large sum fraudulently transferred on both occasions. The break ins seemed highly coordinated and suggested the offender had inside knowledge of the club's routines, which felt far removed from a simple opportunistic grab. When I reported the first incident, the staff member who took my details seemed largely unconcerned and claimed similar thefts had not occurred, a statement that struck me as odd, given how widely discussed such incidents are among members. Yet, despite this, no proactive warnings have ever been issued, which I consider basic practice for a club charging £189 a month and marketing itself as premium. I involved the local police, who were able to obtain an image of the suspect, but David Lloyd claimed they could not identify the individual and have offered no follow up since, which feels both lazy and unacceptable. What troubles me most is the total silence from management: no updates, no reassurance, no indication that any steps are being taken to prevent further incidents or even alert members to the risks. This complete lack of communication and care falls far short of the premium standards the club boasts about. I am posting this review simply to urge fellow members to stay alert. I am thoroughly disappointed, not just by the thefts themselves, but by the inadequate response that followed.

  Overall, it’s a good club and I enjoy being a member. However, I’m deducting a couple of stars due to the cleanliness of the café. Almost every time I’ve gone to sit down, the table has been left dirty from the previous customer, and there also seems to be an increasing number of flies around the café, which doesn’t create a particularly hygienic environment. Considering the membership fee, I would expect a much higher standard of cleanliness. A less significant point is the padel courts. While it’s great that David Lloyd offers them, the playing surface itself is of a relatively poor quality, resulting in inconsistent ball bounce and a less enjoyable experience. It’s not an issue of maintenance but rather the surface that was chosen. Given the premium membership cost, I would expect higher-quality courts.
