My initial experience was good and the eye test started with the puffer test on the eyes. I explained to the assistant that I have poor quality hearing and that I wear hearing aids. The test was done with due care and understanding of my hearing. So I was hoping that the rest of the test would be conducted with the same care and patience. I am saddened to say that it was a very traumatic experience. The assistant conducted the test with little regards to my hearing and was quite abrupt. The test was not conducted in a caring and understanding manner and not completed and told that my eyesight had significantly changed for the worst. Sad to say that I was very upset. I decided to pay and have an independent eye test which took about 1hour as against the 20 minutes at Vision Express. The independent test results confirmed that my eye sight was good and showed little change. In conclusion I think that staff need to be trained in how to deal with people with disabilities who need more time and help.

Brought my father to have his eyes tested and also to select new frames and suitable lenses. The team was superb and professional and courteous. They go out of their way to be helpful and give practical advice that’s not always to spend more but to gauge the right optical benefit given age and eyesight. Easily a store I would happily return to, and thank you Team.
