The staff are fantastic, and the optometrist is the loveliest woman. She always makes me feel comfortable and laugh. She made me feel better about my worries about my eye health. The two women who did my first lot of tests, then helped me find glasses, were also really lovely and made me feel at ease, helping me pick the glasses I wanted. Can't fault the experience at all; my daughter and I have used this branch for years, and I've always left feeling the same way. Thank You!

Used the Specsavers in Dalgety Bay. I was impressed by both the service and how helpful the staff were during my visit. Also the text msgs to remind me of up and coming appointments were also useful.

I often find that when you complain to a company you often find out if the company cares about the customer. I've come to the conclusion that Specsavers in Dalgety bay doesn't. In January I complained to them regarding a pair designer glasses that had snapped on the arm at the hinge. I'd had them for about 8 months. When I visited the store, I spoke with a male member of staff who informed me that because I was past the "100-day guarantee," there was nothing that could be done. When I said this has to be down to poor quality, He said no because most quality issues usually appear within two weeks and he said that I should recycle the frames. I tried to reason with him explaining that I had two previous pairs which had lasted me over 4 years with no issues whatsoever. But he disagreed with me. And said there was nothing he could do. Despite my reluctance, he kept repeating there was nothing he could do and kept saying just to recycle the glasses and that they were "unfixable" and ineligible for any remedy. This led me to reluctantly hand them over for recycling. Which I very much regretted as didn't sit right with me, so I decided to check my consumer rights. They were as follows Consumer Rights Act 2015. Durability: Goods must be of satisfactory quality and last a reasonable amount of time. The average lifespan of glasses is 1–3 years; 8 months is unacceptable for a premium brand. Statutory Rights vs. Guarantee: A store’s "100-day guarantee" is an addition to, not a replacement for, my statutory rights. Under UK law, I have up to six years (five in Scotland) to claim for a product that was not fit for purpose or of satisfactory quality at the time of sale. At this point, I decided to lodge a formal complaint because of the way I had been treated. The next day, I had a phone call from the store manager at Specsavers Dalgety Bay. She informed me with a stern voice The person I had seen the in store had obviously misunderstood what I was saying. This was not the case as I explained to him at the time I thought he was wrong but it couldn't have been faulty as I had two previous pairs of the same brand of glasses that had lasted 5 years with no issues. And I hadn't treated this pair any different to those. I liked those glasses so much I had my new prescriptions lenses put in them too, and I am still wearing them today. She then told me as they were discontinued as a Goodwill gesture, they would look for them in another store to see if there were any left. And if not they would give me £100 towards a new pair. At the time I wasn't 100% happy with this either as these were £130 glasses. But I accepted it. She said she would be in touch within 2 weeks if she could not find a replacement pair. I'm still waiting. Clearly Specsavers in Dalgety Bay aren't really interested in resolving any complaints. They had always been good up until this point for me but I shall never use them again. Because as I said before, how a company behaves when you have issues speaks volumes. This is not something I do very often but I felt at the time I was very poorly treated.
