Without contact lenses for my wedding day due to incredibly disappointing service at this Specsavers. They promised to order them by end of day on Wednesday to ensure they'd arrive on time. After hearing nothing, I called to chase up and was told they didn't bother ordering the lenses until Saturday, so they definitely won't arrive on time. Nothing they could say or do at this point to make things right - won't have my correct prescription on the most important day of my life. Shocking. Avoid.

Great experience with ear wax removal service. Sally was very professional and friendly and I felt completely at ease knowing you're I'm in safe hands and with someone who knows what they're doing. The results were perfect - I previously went to a local pharmacy and didn't have a successful outcome and just felt not at ease. Go to Specsavers!

I ordered 2 sets of glasses only one arrived, I didn't make a journey into town to pick up just the one, the other pair have still not arrived and they have not been able to tell me when they will. Very disappointing.

On Monday 13th April I took my glasses off and they broke. The arm came off. I had bought these in Specsavers, North Street, Brighton two years previously. The frames were Pass in red. On Tuesday 14th April I visited Specsavers on North Street Brighton to ask if they could be repaired. I was told they couldn't. During the course of the conversation I discovered that I was due to have a sight test so asked to book a test. I felt that if I needed to pay out for new glasses it would be better to have an up to date prescription. I was offered and accepted an appointment on Thursday 16th April at 15:15. When I arrived for my appointment I was told that I wasn't entitled to a free over 60s NHS sight test as it was less than 2 years since my last test. I was not informed of this when I booked. It was suggested to me that I could make up a reason as to why I had asked for an appointment sooner than 2 years and I suggested that I had headaches and this was accepted as a means to secure a free sight test. I wasn't having headaches and the optician knew. I then discovered that my prescription had only changed slightly. I left to go home to think about what I wanted to do as money is tight and I would struggle with the cost of new glasses. However, I was concerned that the optician had said that I needed to protect my eyes from bright sunlight as I am developing cataracts. My spare glasses do not have Reactions lenses as did my broken pair. I then remembered that one of the suggestions offered to me was to buy new frames and have the lenses from my broken glasses put in them. However, when I returned to Specsavers on Friday 1st May, I was told that the frames I had had previously were no longer available. I was informed that I was entitled to a free pair of glasses as my old ones had broken in less than two years. I was pleased to hear this and accepted this offer and then looked at some new frames. I felt a bit rushed into making a decision as I had another appointment to go to. Later that day I had more time to reflect and was unsure of the frames I had chosen. Saturday 2nd May, I returned to the shop and asked if it was too late to change my mind. I was then asked to speak to a manager who informed me that I wasn't entitled to a new pair of free glasses. I explained all of the above to him and he was very surprised by the experience I had. He then, reluctantly, said that he would have to offer me a new free pair of glasses. He also said that I could have the same frames I had had previously but they would be a different colour. He swung the screen on his tablet round so that I could see that the same frames as my old ones (Pass) were available but no longer in the red. I thought the frames were purple and said so, quite clearly. I then said on two more occasions that if the frames were the same but purple rather than red I would be happy with this. On Sunday 3rd May I received an email from Specsavers thanking me for ordering THREE new pairs of glasses; two pairs of Paprika design and one pair of Pass design in BLUE. I distinctly remember saying to the manager that I thought the glasses were purple. At no point did he correct me. He was looking directly at the screen while I had only a sideways view. I do not want blue glasses. I also do not want two pairs of Paprika glasses. I feel at the end of my tether with Specsavers. I don't know what information that I have been given is correct. I seem to have three pairs of glasses on order that I don't want. I'm too exhausted by all of this to visit the shop again and feel that verbal communication with you staff is no longer an option. Please could this be looked into urgently. I've not heard since.

An issue with my glasses and the alignment of my lenses making the wait 4 weeks, Currently needing to wear my new reading glasses and previous pair of distance glasses have been scratched. I was make at first to feel not believed when I said there was a problem with my new glasses told “ they would take some time to get used to them” although my prescription hadn’t changed. The actual eye test was good, amd thorough.
