I have been gradually transferring my schedule to here from another branch closer to home. I have only been here a few weeks but so far the progress and advice given by all the personal trainers has been superb and far exceeds/outstretches the advice I was given at my previous Gym. The standard of the class instructors is second to none and the choice of classes is much better as well. The Swimming Pool is smaller then my previous Gym but has a great vibe with some nice artwork across one end. The Sauna in the changing room is great and functional, however the Steam Room and Spa/Jacuzzi could do with being upgraded and made bigger. The Car Park is limited to 3 hours, but to stay longer you have to remember to give your Car Registration to the Reception Team on leaving to input into the IPad/Tablet behind Reception.

Liars acusing people of abuse when they are singling out disabled people with two legs because they don't know they own policies apparently. Discriminatory, abliest and needs further disability and inclusion training instead of following a POTS patient around aggravating their medical condition so you can prove a point. 10 weeks from sign up to now for this!

TLDR: Disabled with a carer membership, singled out, told we are not allowed to train, false accusations of abuse despite their team fundamentally failing to do their jobs. This team need disability and inclusion training instead of following round someone with a heart condition and aggravating the situation. My partner signed up here 10 weeks ago after searching everywhere for carer terms and conditions and phoning them several times to confirm the ins and outs. When we attended to finalise the sign up, we handed over carers letters, everything required and was sent on our way informing us "you can both train" and even "he can come on his own without you" Today, after 10 weeks, we go to scan the card and instantly without looking at their screen they say the account is locked which I thought was weird to start with (after they took 4 payments in a month already) They then started going on about health and safety and "I need my own membership" so I gave them my existing accounts email, then it was something else, so I countered again and something else was said Turns out they are singling out disabled people with carers and discriminating which doesn't seem very fair. They clearly said they 'discussed this' prior so it was targetted. If my partner is having a bad day and swims - where she is safe, sometimes I work on myself, I am also disabled with chronic life long condition but apparently thats not allowed - I have to stand behind her while she is doing anything and must just watch but thats ironic because I don't see any other carer 'standing there watching' Took them 10 weeks to bring this up, then tried printing out terms and conditions not visible on the website nor were they provided when we signed up. We cannot accept terms if they are not provided. We come to the gym today to get over an extremely hard week with alot going on in our lives and we walked away more frustrated than we walked in. Manager is petty and definitely has an ego complex or was bullied at school; I was asked to 'scan my card' over 6 weeks ago, I told him "I am on my wife's" - he started arguing and getting loud demanding I do it - he clearly didn't forget that today and brought it up again. At this point, we are going to head office because it seems like they 'just dont want us there'; I recommended Virgin after being a long time customer myself with multiple yearly contracts in the past until I got severely ill and now I am left wondering why I even bothered - I still have PT credit on my account for years ago!!! First off it was the staffs issue for not providing me a card on the spot during initial registration but then later it has to go to head office for approval - those processes do not align and smells fishy. Unless they can prove they singled out every disabled person with a carer at their gym, this was clear, targeted discrimination while they hide behind any excuse they can. Bottom line? We was embarrassed and pulled up at the front desk in front of at least 8 people after they charged us multiple times for the same month which was also charged a month too soon, failed to deliver the 'sign up deal' they promised on a cold call, they argued over everything, nothing we said resulted in them, acknowledging their staff failed in the first place or an apology. EDIT: Phoned today and had false accusations of abuse thrown at us and essential told 'their staff need training on what a carer is' - Sorry, we didn't ask to be severely disabled with neurological conditions, Sorry we have two legs and seem 'normal' to you. EDIT EDIT: My mental health has gone down the shitter now. Their escapades ruined the routine I built, the stability I built and now I am left trying to claw my way back to reality while staff stalk my LinkedIn and can't even reply. SHAME on you.
