  Having been a memeber for over 5 years unfortunatly, the gym is now over subscribed, the equipment is great, if you can get on it, The inhouse coffee/smoothie bar is massivly over priced and there are children in the adults only area and the club manager just sits and works and ignores what going on. Toliets needs a refit and the gym tvs have now been removed - a tad overpriced for what it is.

  As a genuine customer Google permits sharing our experiences. Since the new Manager took over the reviews do not look good.. Four times he promised to reply to me, the last time even telling me he feels bad now so will reply soon. When a business does not keep their promise to customers they are insincere. The membership fee has increased 126% on last year making this now one of the most expensive gyms. There are other gyms in Brentwood and Warley that are half the price and one even has a swimming pool like Virgin Clearview. When Virgin Clearview had their annual price increase they simultaneously removed all the TV screens. The gym floor has treadmills and cycles in a circle all facing a centre pillar with 6 TV screens. Members cycling for 40mins to 1 hour could watch the news or other subtitled programs. The small screens on the machines have no subtitles you'd need to connect a bluetooth earpiece. When we all use the weights and have the minute or two rest time we would glance at the TV screens or if a big match was on we could socialise talking about it whilst working out. All are Gone. Nothing left. Now members cycle and run looking awkwardly across at others looking back. You will pay more than you should here with diminishing facilities and management who will ignore you until you find them then promise they'll look at your request despite knowing his word means very little to him. It shows they don't care whilst they are able to get more money from less members. As a long customer of over 10yrs I am Not Renewing membership and I'm leaving just like others have said in their reviews. We hope this review can lead to CHANGE

  I’m really disappointed with Virgin active clearview. I’ve been a member since 2013. The gym is often dirty. I’ve seen thick dust in the changing rooms. Showers absolutely stink most of the time, men’s sauna also stinks. When asking about my membership at reception the member of staff straight away said “if your an existing member , I won’t be able to help you with your membership, before she had even looked me up on the system. Really disappointed. Went straight to David Lloyd . Their reception was friendly and the gym was immaculate.

  Padel courts are great but always booked out on the app. The swimming pool water looked murky, the staff/lifeguards were all in one group chatting very loudly, were unhelpful and had an overall unwelcoming vibe. The jacuzzi and steam room need a good clean. I was at this Virgin for over two hours and I didn’t see a single cleaner, whilst at Canary Wharf I see the same cleaners coming in and out constantly cleaning, taking towels etc. I won’t be visiting again to be honest, the other members were giving odd looks/also unwelcoming.
