I really tried to find some way to give this 2 stars. Almost £200 a month for - - A tiny gym. - Circuit classes which take place in the same tiny gym further closing off space. - Unclean toilets. - Unclean showers. - A tiny untidy changing room. - Half the staff busy checking their socials on reception than actually doing their job. - Smoothies which claim to be made from fresh fruit but are made from a processed powder (I can’t even believe this one.) - A dirty dated spa. It’s not even about the money. This gym could cost £50 a month and it STILL wouldn’t be worth it. I should further add to this comment. It’s not worth it because despite all the amenities (as badly maintained as they are), you’ll be struggling for space in the communal bathhouse it’s slowly becoming all with the pleasantry as to what you’d expect when you cram that many people in. £200 a month gets you - - A pure gym membership, coffee membership and even 2 massages a month. You’re wasting your money here. And if you’re hell bent on joining David Lloyd’s because of the name value then join the Anniesland one. Bigger, cleaner, better spa. And it’s cheaper too 🤯 I’m glad David Lloyd’s replied to this review because they don’t reply to their emails. Thanks for reminding me about that. Because yes ; I did address the issues with management first, second and third before putting up a review.

The club has so much to offer for families and it has such a friendly atmosphere. Finn has been fantastic with helping myself and family get familiar with DL and is very knowledgeable about the club and is always there to help when it's needed. He has made the whole process of joking DL smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend this club.

Our family joined David Lloyd Rouken Glen because it was known for being a genuinely family-friendly club. Sadly, that no longer feels true. Over the summer holidays, many of the children’s activities that were previously free have suddenly become chargeable, with some now costing £15–£22 per child. We already pay a platinum membership for two adults and separate memberships for my children, so it’s incredibly disappointing to now be expected to pay extra for activities that were previously included. It feels like families are being charged more and more for something that was once part of the membership experience. The timing is particularly frustrating. The school holidays are when families use the club the most, yet this is exactly when these new charges have been introduced by a new activities manager. Being family-friendly was one of the main reasons we chose David Lloyd Rouken Glen over other clubs. I hope management listens to members’ feedback and reconsiders these changes before more families decide the club no longer offers the value it once did.
