  I recently transferred from PureGym after being a member for several years. The membership fees kept increasing, and I still had to go elsewhere for swimming and other sports facilities. It’s great to be somewhere that offers everything under one roof. The facilities are excellent, and the gym itself looks like it has been recently upgraded. A special thanks to Jordan for taking the time to show us around and making the sign-up process smooth and straightforward. So far, I’m really pleased with the move and can definitely see myself staying here for the long term. It’s a price increase but worth it, I no longer dread coming to the gym and there’s so much variation.

  Everything is amazing, though the whole place is soo dirty!! We pay so much for membership surly they can afford cleaners. The whole place is pretty!! For the number of people, there should be a full time cleaner allocated to the gym, courts, eating area, and changing rooms. I’ve heard multiple complain, I’m not the first. Giving 5 start as I don’t want to bring the rating of the gym down, though I should be putting 3 star because it’s that bad!!

  We recently joined David Lloyd Poole and have been really impressed. The new gym and spa facilities are absolutely brilliant and far exceeded our expectations – everything feels modern, clean and finished to a really high standard. The main reason we ended up joining though was Jordan Browne, Sales Manager. If it wasn't for Jordan, we probably would have gone elsewhere. From the moment we met him, he looked after us incredibly well and made the whole process seamless from start to finish. He was friendly, genuine, and always happy to answer any questions we had.

  I’ve been a loyal member of DL for 2 years now and was always able to use the old sauna and steam room next to the Pool and then the 5 million pound renovation starts… was told from the beginning that all members before December 2025 could use said new facilities I assumed that since the age for the sauna and steam room at the time was 16 to use that I’d be ok to use the new one which was confirmed many times by different staff members who I asked. But this is where it goes downhill after the facilities had recently been completed. I went to scanning at the new spa and it wouldn’t let me in so I Asked why and they said you needed to be 18 I then said that I’d been able to use the old facilities before the renovations and they said “ well there’s not much we can do” . I then emailed and asked why I could not use the facilities and why it was 18 only and their response was “ for wellbeing and safety” bear in mind I had previously been able to use the sauna and steam room. And then on top of that, they did not even provide an alternative to lowering my membership or rectifying the fact that I cannot use The new facilities as apparently even head Office can’t even change their own systems. I can understand why they don’t want little kids running Around, however, I’m 17 And I work and all I want to be able to do is use the facilities I was promised to be able to use overall I’m very disappointed in this. Not much will be done about this I’d imagine however I just wanted to let people know that There was no clear communication beforehand and was a fail on their side and then there’s no clear communication about the policy change, which they also fail to Tell me about the before then charging me more for facilities I can’t even use.

  The toilets and changing rooms were dirty and absolutely disgusting. The tables in the club lounge were sticky and unclean. The staff seemed more concerned with chatting and laughing among themselves than providing good customer service. I ordered a cortado with coconut milk, but the coconut milk was missing. I politely mentioned this, but the staff member responded with a poor attitude and looked at me as though I was inconveniencing her. The windows along the stairs were also very dirty. It's a real shame because the gym itself is very nice. Unfortunately, the employees are ruining what could otherwise be a great business experience.
