  Extremely disappointing service I have been a customer of Vision Express for many years, but sadly the standard of service has declined significantly over time. The staff are often rude and unhelpful, and it increasingly feels as though the main priority is getting customers to spend more money rather than focusing on their eye health and providing the care they actually need. I recently needed help regarding my contact lens prescription and aftercare and specifically asked to speak to a senior optician. I was extremely disappointed to find that all of the opticians currently working there are trainees, with no senior, fully qualified optician available to speak to. When it comes to something as important as your eyesight, I expect to be able to access appropriately qualified professionals and receive knowledgeable, reassuring advice. Instead, I was left feeling completely let down by the service. After being a loyal customer for many years, this experience has been the final straw. I will now be looking for an alternative optician.

  Very helpful after I broke my new glasses arranged a replacement. Can’t fault them.

  Our first visit at VE and we truly recommend that branch! The whole team is ever so professional and friendly (manager, assistants, optometrists and security), many frames to choose from and they as cheap as anywhere else, but can also have top end brands. The place itself very neat and tidy. Thank you for your help and see you in 2 years!

  Came for an eye test, got to the counter and a bald tall man served me. I said we had an appointment and the time etc. He didn’t acknowledge my name or anything just said go take a seat round the corner. After the appointment, I advised the optometrist that I have another appointment elsewhere so will be back to choose glasses. I came back and the same man was on the counter. I said I’ve come to choose glasses he huffed and puffed and said to his colleague where’s the handover why is there no handover. So I interrupted and told him there was a handover but I had to be at another appointment to which point they said they will leave my prescription there for when I come back. No customer service skills no nothing. He was abrupt and arrogant - I’m assuming he was the manager as all staff were coming to him to ask questions. Clearly not a way to make customers feel. Maybe you need to go on some customer experience courses and learn how to interact with customers, as this is not your strong point . I don’t usually write a review but to make someone feel so inadequate and such an inconvenience is actual very poor

  I popped in to look for new glasses. I was left to browse in peace, but an assistant obviously spotted I needed help as I was trying on 2 different frames for a time. Being undecided she helped me choose - not only by how they looked, but the frame's suitability as I wear varifocals. She advised on the lenses for my needs, took all the measurements and worked out a price. All felt very professional but friendly. I've been to many other opticians recently, as I need to renew my prescription, and received very little help/guidance but totally different here. Obviously I haven't received the glasses yet, so time will tell re quality.
